ABSTRACT

Constance Clark is a 79-year-old widow who lives alone in what she describes as "the house that Jack built." Her husband "Jack" John Clark--Irishman, WWII veteran, handy man, craftsman, manufacturers' representative--started building their modest split-level house in a neighborhood of similar small homes when he returned from the Army in 1945.
