ABSTRACT

Complex medical social analysis of reproductive health of modern boys was carried out. Approaches to specialized care of boys and youths in St. Petersburg are presented. Measures aimed at creation of a universal staged specialized service including outpatient and inpatient care are offered. Standards were determined as regards care of boys with reproductive system disorders for primary health care centers and for the second component of specialized service, responsible for the major part of outpatient care. A comprehensive departmental system of medical care quality control is suggested, including public health administrative organs and clinical expert committees of treatment and prophylactic institutions.

ABSTRACT

A study was made of 310 families having children with congenital developmental defects of peripheral vessels. The birth of a child with developmental pathology of peripheral vessels has a significant effect on demographic behaviour of the family, causing the limitation in further childbirth and leading to substantial worsening of relations between parents. It was found that the level of seeking medico-genetic care was extremely low and there was no proper control on the part of obstetrician-gynaecologists and district paediatricians.

ABSTRACT

An interview survey of 4180 girls aged 1-18 years, their mothers, teachers and tutors was conducted. It was found that the maternity instinct is inborn but it starts to show only during the second year of life and is manifested in the form of playing with dolls and reaches its peak at the age of 3-5 years. Playing with dolls occurs subconsciously and is not used for teaching the girls to acquire the habits of caring for a baby. The formation of family orientation is shaped at an early school age. Under the influence of their mothers school-girls form a reproductive orientation for having a small number of children--1.9-2.0.
