ABSTRACT
Se sabe que dirigir la palabra a otras personas no solo exige una inteligencia vivaz, sino un alto nivel de improvisación, facilidad de expresión oral, cierto grado de imaginación y coordinación del pensamiento; pero también una memoria ejercitada, pues se trata del proceso psicológico que permite aprender nueva información, almacenarla y recuperarla cuando sea preciso para hablar exitosamente en público, aunque a veces puede fallar por diversas razones. Acerca de ambas capacidades básicas del ser humano (una intelectual y otra cognitiva) se abunda en este artículo
It is known that to speak to others publicly not only demands a vivid intelligence, but also a high-level improvisation, fluency of oral expression, certain imagination level and coordination of thought; and also an exercised memory, because it is the psychological process that allows to learn new information, to store and to recover it when it is necessary to speak successfully in public, although it can sometimes fail due to diverse reasons. This work goes into great details about both of these basic capacities of the human being (an intellectual one and another cognitive)

To guarantee a successful verbal exposition, it is very sensible to take into account some aspects that could attempt against the attainment of the main objective, either before (meals or drinks, displacements, type of place and attitude) or during their performance (punctuality, greeting, use of you or you in a polite way as courtesy treatment and others), the discussions and the unexpected events (unexpected guests, linguistic errors, mental lagoons, involuntary and sudden movements, accidents and miscellany), because just this way it will be possible, most of the times, take a lecture to a happy term(AU)

Certain bad habits of the language which reduce shine and seriousness to the verbal expressions have been diffused and even consolidated in the oratory, among which there are the tags and joker words, which are able to attempt against a very well prepared dissertation, but many times unrehearsed in front of others or recorded to listen the unnecessary repetitions of words or other linguistic incorrectness. The personal image influences on the opinion of the audience about a speech and about who pronounces it; therefore, if the person pretends that this aspect of the non verbal communication becomes in a tool which impels his success in front of the public, it should always be a weapon to his favor at any moment or opportunity. In the article, besides some history on the matter, certain advices and orientations are offered -- maybe some disregarded and others involuntarily obviated -- about the perfumes and certain smells, but undoubtedly very transcendent in the oral scientific expositions.

Organizado por las filiales de la Asociación Cubana de Bibliotecarios y la Sociedad Cubana de Ciencias de la Información, en la 21 edición de la Feria Internacional del Libro y coincidiendo con el 117 aniversario del natalicio del Padre de la Pediatría en las provincias orientales, se celebró el pasado 2 de marzo en MEGACEN, Santiago de Cuba, el II Encuentro de Dialogando con los autores Dr Antonio María Béguez César in memoriam, en esta oportunidad dedicado al Dr C Enrique Antonio González Corona, Profesor de Mérito de la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba y Miembro de Honor de la Sociedad Cubana de Pediatría, así como a la Lic María Elena Jiménez Arias, fundadora del Centro Provincial de Información de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba y de la revista científica MEDISAN. En el III Encuentro, a celebrarse en 2013, serán homenajeados los ilustres autores santiagueros, fundadores del Centro de Lingüística Aplicada: el Dr C en Ciencias Filológicas Vitelio Ruiz Hernández y la Doctora Honoris Causa de la Universidad de Oriente Eloína Miyares Bermúdez, acreedores del título honorífico de Héroes del Trabajo de la República de Cuba, único matrimonio en Cuba que ostenta esa distinción(AU)

The prefixes and suffixes (included among affixes) are particles involved in the formation of compounds or derivatives, and change their meaning; the former placed in front of the lexeme or root and the latter behind. They are also considered elective or optional morphemes, since their use is not mandatory, however they are very numerous in medical terms, mainly those from Greek or Latin. In this paper lists of the most common affixes, alphabetically arranged, are provided, which knowledge can be useful to determine the semantic value of many of these voices(AU)
