ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Aim: The aim is to study the influence of the training activities of different orientations on the attention development of student specializing in different sports. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and Methods: The study involved 127 students, who were divided into three groups: group A (n=68) was engaged in speed and power sports, group B (n=59) was engaged in endurance sports, the control group (n=83) included peer students who did not do sports during their studies. The research on students' attention was carried out according to Anfimov's test using a table with letters. RESULTS: Results: It was revealed that speed and power activities increase the integrated indicator of attention (the coefficient of work performance) based only on the speed of viewing characters with unreliable changes in the correctness of the work indicators. Under the influence of endurance training, the coefficient of efficiency is increased based on both an increase in the speed of viewing characters and the correctness of the work indicators. The students of the control group were found to have insignificant changes in the studied indicators of attention. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: This suggests that endurance training promotes the development of students' attention more ef f ectively. It is set, that specifics of the training process, its orientation equally specifically specialize the peculiarities of the attention development of students.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The aim: To study the dynamics of tobacco smoking prevalence among students and to find out the main directions of its prevention. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: The research involved 647 students (men and women) of the first - fourth instructional years of pedagogical specialties. The research was conducted during 2020-2022. The research methods included analysis and generalization of literary source on the research topic, documentary method, questionnaires, pedagogical observation and statistical methods. RESULTS: Results: It was found that the phenomenon of tobacco smoking has long historical roots and is widespread in all countries of the world. It was found that 32.4 % of male students and 14.9 % of female ones smoke; herewith, 16.0 % of male and 8.3 % of female students smoke up to 10 cigarettes per day. It is established that a number of normative legal documents have been adopted and a system of preventive measures has been developed in order to counteract smoking among students. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: Smoking is a significant health and social problem the solution of which requires significant human and financial resources. Despite some achievements in this area, the active involvement of not only men, but also women, mainly students, in smoking is of particular concern. The use of tobacco products provokes a threat to the health of students and the population as a whole, which requires additional efforts on the part of society, government agencies and non-governmental organizations to prevent this addiction.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The aim: To examine the effect of the developed wellness program on hemodynamic indices and psychological state of perimenopausal women. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: The study involved 27 women aged 39 to 47 years. Inclusion criteria: recorded perimenopause, climacteric syndrome, history of episodic increase in blood pressure up to 140/85 or 150/90 mmHg. Exclusion criteria: primary hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic contagious, systemic, oncology diseases, and mental illnesses. Research procedure comprised tracing of the heart rate, blood pressure registration, and pulse pressure calculation. Robinson index, the coefficient of endurance according to A. Kvas formula were calculated. The assessment of psychological state was made using the Spielberger-Khanin Inventory. RESULTS: Results: Multidisciplinary professionals gave classes upon wellness program at "Women's Health" school. The program included educational conversations, healthy walking, massage, psycho-corrective exercises. The dynamics of the studied parameters was analyzed after 12 weeks. Based on the anthropometric measures findings the tested women showed improvement of 6,76% weight loss; and their body mass index decreased by 6,77%. Initial numbers of Robinson index and the coefficient of endurance were above normal values. After working under the program statistically significant dynamics was observed (р <0,05), although there were still signs of cardiovascular disorders. There were statistically significant positive changes Spielberger-Khanin Inventory on State Anxiety (-9,09%) and Personal Anxiety Scales (-6,96%) (p <0,05). CONCLUSION: Conclusions: Early detection of risk factors and physical activity will help to bring a vast improvement to prognosis and quality of life of perimenopausal women with hypertension onset.
