ABSTRACT
The genus Melolontha Fabricius, 1775 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae) from India is reviewed. Two new species, Melolontha arunachalensis Gupta, Keith, Bhunia, Das, Ghosh & Chandra, new species and Melolontha lachungensis Gupta, Keith, Bhunia, Das, Ghosh & Chandra, new species are described. Melolontha chinensis Guérin-Méneville, 1838 is reported for the first time from India. Taxonomic notes on the identification of previously known species of Melolontha from India are provided, together with a key to the species (males).

A new species belonging to the poorly known genus Microlontha Petrovitz, 1967 is described from south-eastern Iran. Microlontha iranica Uliana Keith, new species is different from the only other species of the genus chiefly for the strongly dentate margin of the clypeus and the color pattern.

Three new species of the genus Miridiba Reitter, 1902 from Vietnam are described and illustrated: Miridiba apicespinosa P.V. Pham & Keith, new species, M. ngoclinhensis P.V. Pham & Keith, new species, and M. quangnamensis P.V. Pham & Keith, new species. Miridiba bannaensis Gao & Fang, 2018 is reported for the first time from Vietnam. Additionally, an updated checklist and a key to all Vietnamese species are provided.

The scarcely known species of Chilotrogus Reitter, 1905 from Iran are revised based on abundant and mostly unpublished material, Chilotrogus matejiceki Miessen, Uliana Keith, new species and Ch. schoolmeestersi Miessen, Uliana Keith, new species are described. The type of Chilotrogus panotrogoides Reitter, 1905 is studied and correctly labelled. An identification key is given, as well as an extensive iconography and a distribution map of Iranian species.

An overview of the genus Pharaonus Blanchard, 1851 is presented. Pharaonus farsensis new species and P. adelphus new species are described from Iran, P. lederi turcmenius Ohaus, 1941 is recognized as new synonym of P. lederi (Reitter, 1888), and the subgenus Tamerlanius new subgenus is proposed for the two central-Asian species. New distribution records and systematic notes are presented: P. caucasicus (Reitter, 1888) is removed from the fauna of Iran and P. varicoloreus (Burmeister, 1844) from that of Israel; P. fasciculatus (Burmeister, 1844) is reported for the first time from Israel, P. semenowi (Reitter, 1888) from Tajikistan. All known species are illustrated and a key to species is presented.

Two new species of the Oriental scarab genus Tocama Reitter, 1902, Tocama laosensissp. n. and Tocama procerasp. n., are described from Indochina with diagnoses, distributions, remarks and illustrations. A key to the species of the genus is provided with a checklist with several nomenclatural changes: Hoplosternus tonkinensis Moser, 1913 is transferred to Tocama; Hoplosternus pygidialis Moser, 1915 syn. n., Tocama atra atra Keith, 2006 syn. n. and Tocama atra reichenbachi Keith, 2007 syn. n. = Tocama tonkinensis (Moser).
