ABSTRACT

Controlling and diagnostic processes in the bioengineering artificial clearance systems despite of the procedures applied, their functional use and design seem to occur in the artificial organs, each of them consists of controlling and actuating processors ensuring their homogeneous (material, energy-producing, informational) or combined interaction with the patient's body. Centralized control over artificial clearance is proposed by using universal controlling processes which are informationally connected with the operator, the central computer and other controlling processes of the bioengineering system.

ABSTRACT

The systems approach to constructing extracorporeal circulation equipment enhances the university of this equipment by interchangeable choice of its structure, functional parameters and constructive implementation. The authors propose to use in the extracorporeal circulation equipment two (two- and four-pump) perfusion units with two types of constructively interchangeable perfusion pumps of various capacity.

ABSTRACT

The clinical efficiency, safety and accessibility of a lot of artificial blood clearance procedures are provided by the versatility of equipment operational capacities, computerization, automatization, expendable blood-conducting elements, higher independence through the electrochemical regeneration of a dialyzing solution, a reduced range of the hardwares used and their simplified designing implementation. A clearance technique-invariant pattern of polyblock of technical equipment with a universal perfusion unit wherein perfusion is accompanied by centralized equipment control has been proposed and introduced into practice.

ABSTRACT

During artificial blood clearance, disposable articles are used for extracorporeal transportation of physiological fluids under sterile conditions and for normalizing action on blood in the acting elements of artificial organs. They allow improvement of clinical parameters, safety and accessibility of the technique of extracorporeal life support. A universal kit of arteries is proposed for artificial clearance.

ABSTRACT

The author proposed a generalized model which determines the structural properties of the system (relationships between its elements) invariantly to the type of these elements and to their functional application. To reflect the interactions in the system to distribute, transport, generate, and accumulate the functional environments, the author has used only four elementary monoprocessors (a distributor, a generator, a transmitter, and an accumulator) which are united into diprocessors (communication channels, transmitters, and receivers), communication systems and polyprocessors. The whole system is presented as polyprocessors interconnected with transport channels.

ABSTRACT

Modern equipment for artificial purification of physiological fluids is viewed as a multiplicity of constructively and functionally interrelated processors of the bioartificial body. The processors include automated control elements (perfusion, infusion and of normalizing action) and disposable actuating elements (main circuits, dialyzers, hemo- and plasma filters, sorption and ion-exchange columns, heat exchangers). Prospective trends in the development are outlined: preferable use of purification methods with energy controlling media; regeneration of dialysate and ultrafiltrate; universalization of functional potentialities in technically and economically derived constructive redundancy, computerization.

ABSTRACT

Requirements for modern perfusion equipment intended for extracorporeal blood clearance are reviewed and possible trends in the improvement of the equipment in the BP-02 perfusion unit are defined. In that unit, one- or two-needle perfusion is maintained by a gearless drive, microprocessor control, concentrated data representation on a linear display in tabular form, and self-adjustment of the arterial and venous pressure control.

ABSTRACT

The author advances a summarized concept of the bioartificial organism consisting of an operator, equipment and biological medium. Formulates the principle of man-made life support, reviews a model of the bioartificial organism and a classification of processors that ensure the control of the physiological status of the biological medium.

ABSTRACT

Herein the decentralised microprocessor system is being considered. It allows one to perform automatic regulation in each module of the unit, to make measurements and control of the parameters, visualising the information on the linear display, digital quantitative estimation of the parameters, manual and automatic changing of the set and controlled means of the parameters, alarms, dialogue mode functioning.
