ABSTRACT

Some immunological parameters were examined in 198 women with morphologically verified carcinoma of their genitals (ovaries, body and cervix of the uterus). Various degree of suppression of cellular mediated immunity (CMI), phagocytosis an increase of CIK with consumption of the complement and dysimmunoglobulinemia was established. These changes were manifested mostly in women with ovarian carcinoma and in women with nondifferentiated carcinoma. The degree of deviations in the immune status is of some prognostic value.

ABSTRACT

Various immunomodulating drugs: levamizol in suppression of CMI and phagocytosis, gamma A in deficit of antibody synthesis and vitamins A, E, C, in patients with suppression of all immunological parameters, were added to the complex treatment of 67 patients with frequently relapsing inflammatory gynecological diseases and data for suppression of various components of the immune response. Inclusion of immunomodulators to the complex therapy induces a definite antirelapsing effect. Levamizol was of the highest clinical efficiency, presenting a definite antirelapsing effect of 66.67% of the patients, treated and observed for a period of a year.

ABSTRACT

The author described a case of a woman with Meckel's diverticulum, appendectomized, who was admitted to the gynecological ward after rejection of acute surgical abdomen with diagnosis ovarian tumour. Meckel's diverticulum with chronic serous-purulent peritonitis was established after laparotomy. Inferences are made in respect to this not quite rare intraoperative finding of Meckel's diverticulum and to the necessity of searching and its respective removal during laparotomy on other occasion.

ABSTRACT

A rare case of bronchial-lung endometriosis was described in a young woman with complaints of hemoptysis coinciding with menstruation. The possibility for other lung diseases was rejected by means of various diagnostic methods--clinical and laboratory (roentgenological, bronchoscopic). The hemoptysis was stopped by Orgametryl.
