ABSTRACT
Efficacy was compared of local magnetotherapy and electrostimulation in rehabilitation of patients with posttraumatic maxillofacial defects and deformities. A multidirectional mechanism of the two complexes on peripheral and central structures of the maxillofacial region was discovered.

Cryosurgical treatment of basal cell carcinomas was carried out and keratocystic cavities formed after cystectomy filled with hydroxyapatite-based biocomposites in 11 patients with the Gorlin-Goltz syndrome. Remote results of treatment are assessed. The authors emphasize that this patient population is in need of multiple-modality treatment.

Effective speech rehabilitation of patients with complete clefts of the hard and soft palate can be achieved by multiple-modality treatment including logopedic training, surgical intervention, electrostimulation of the palatal and perioral muscles and nerves. Use of such treatment in 50 patients has cut down the periods of treatment from 6-7 to 2.5-4 months.
