[Effect of factors related to hemodialysis on certain blood-coagulation parameters]. / Einfluss der mit der Hämodialyse zusammenhängenden Faktoren auf bestimmte Hämokoagulationsparameter.

It is reported on the changes of the thromboelastogramme, the fibrinogen level, the number of thrombocytes and the time of coagulation, which developed due to the haemodialysis with intermittent and regional heparinisation, as well as on the isolated effect of heparin, protamine and the heparin-protamine-complex. Among others the cause was discussed, why there are in some cases higher values of the time of coagulation in the patient than in the extracorporal circulation during haemodialysis. For practical reasons was emphasized that the protamine may also have a pronounced anticoagulation effect.

[Influence of hemodialysis, heparin and protamin on the pre-beta fraction of lipoproteins in patients with chronic kidney failure]. / Einfluss von Hämodialyse, Heparin und Protamin auf die Prä-beta-Franktion der Lipoproteine bei Patienten mit chronischer Niereninsuffizienz.

The spectrum of lipoproteins in the serum and the blood clotting time was examined in 19 dialyzed and 5 non-dialyzed patients with chronic renal failure. Compared were the values obtained in hemodialysis with intermittent and regional heparinization and the changes after the application of heparin in hemodialysis and beside it. In non-dialyzed and dialyzed patients in interdialyzation period were studied the changes of given parameters which occur after heparin and protamin application. Out of the results of this examination it follows that: 1. the most significant factor causing the changes of lipoprotein spectrum in the serum during hemodialysis is heparin. 2. the effect of protamin upon the lipoprotein spectrum during hemodialysis cannot be explained only by the neutralisation of heparin effect. 3. beside heparin and protamin in the spectrum changes of lipoproteins during hemodialysis also other factors are participant that are concerned with hemodialysis.
