ABSTRACT

Brain hemodynamics was studied in 76 patients with oligomenorrhea aged 18 to 35 from the data of rheoencephalography. Disorders of the regional tone of brain vessels were different and related to the time of the menstrual cycle disorder; this may be explained by the degree of changes in various neuromediator mechanisms of brain circulation and reproductive system function regulation.

ABSTRACT

Reflex changes of heart rate, respiratory rate, and arterial pressure were studied by a new continuous bloodless method in 120 healthy females from 12 to 38 years of age in the active orthostatic test. The authors were the first to draw attention to the identity of the physiological mechanisms of postural reactions of blood circulation and the well-known Bezold's triad. Reflexes from tissue receptors are a powerful regulator of central and peripheral arterial and venous circulation and take part in man's daily life. The dynamics of changes in arterial and venous tonus, the height, age, and motor regimen of the individual must be taken into account in analysis of the orthostatic reactions. The rate of changes in the parameters of blood circulation in clinostatism may serve as the basis for gradual evaluation of orthostatic stability.
