ABSTRACT

Basing on the literature data and own experience with 9 patients the authors have come to the conclusion that mesenteric cysts occurred only in 0.01% of children operated on urgent indications. In 6 children surgical interventions were carried out for the clinical picture analogous to that of acute appendicitis, 3 patients were operated upon for the clinical picture of ileus.

ABSTRACT

An analysis of postoperative complications in 167 infants, operated for suppurative lung diseases, indicated that these complications are mainly the result of the purulent-inflammatory process progression. Recommendations concerning the prophylaxis against these complications with the analysis of the results of their use are given.

ABSTRACT

Based on 135 operations in infants, performed in staphylococcic destruction of the lung, an attempt is made to determine most optimum terms of radical interventions. An analysis has shown that in children older than 6 months operative procedures after preliminary drainage therapy proved to be effective. In children of the first two months the mortality after early operations was twice lower as compared with later interventions.
