ABSTRACT
The effect of chronic exposure to general vibration on the state of hemomicrocirculatory bed in the organs of rat masticatory apparatus and the efficacy of antihypoxants and adaptogens for its pharmacological prophylaxis was studied. The experiments were performed in 210 albino male rats aged 8 to 30 weeks. The intact rats served as control. Transcapillary injections with 1% collargol solution, histological, electron microscopic and morphometric methods were used. It was found that chronic exposure to general vibration induced a hemodynamic disturbances at the level of hemomicrocirculatory bed vessels in the organs of masticatory apparatus with subsequent hypoxia. Electron microscopic study revealed the damage of the cellular ultrastructure in the endotheliocytes of blood vessels of the hemomicrocirculatory bed. Antihypoxants, adaptogens and their combinations demonstrated a pronounced protective effect

Bioceramics-based materials manufactured in Russia were experimentally and clinically tried with the aim of optimizing repair osteogenesis of the jaws. Powder, granules, and porous blocks of hydroxyapatite alone and mixed with tricalcium phosphate may be effectively used for plastic repair of osseous pouches and post-operative defects of the jaws in surgical treatment of periodontitis, periradicular cysts of the jaws, and for filling the wells after removal of teeth.

The article deals with the questions of spreading and the structure of periodontitis among servicemen, as well as the peculiarities of prophylaxis and medical care in military units and medical institution. The authors show the priority of surgical methods of treatment (curettage, flap operation). Characteristic features of pre-operational preparation are described, as well as methods of conservative treatment (general and local), and professional hygiene of the oral cavity.
