[Effects of laser therapy in patients with functional class II-IV effort angina (using instrumental techniques of the study)]. / Effektivnost' lazernoi terapii u bol'nykh so stenokardiei napriazheniia II-IV funktsional'nogo klassa (s ispol'zovaniem instrumental'nykh metodov issledovaniia).

Infrared laser therapy using an arsenide-gallium laser was used in 54 patients aged 30-75 years who suffered from coronary heart disease. A positive clinical effect was achieved in 47 (87%) of 54 patients, as evidenced by the reduced number of nitroglycerin tablets used and improved bicycle ergometric, echo- and electrocardiographic parameters in the patients.

[Program and results of 10 weeks' physical training of myocardial infarct patients and patients with exertion stenocardia]. / Programma i rezul'taty 10-nedel'noi fizicheskoi trenirovki bol'nykh, perenesshikh infarkt miokarda, i bol'nykh so stenokardiei napriazheniia.

This is a report on the results of physical training in 52 patients who had myocardial infarction and in 8 patients with angina pectoris of effort who had not suffered infarction. The training lasted 10 weeks, 3 times a week using a bicycle ergometer. 75% of the patients have accomplished the entire program of training. Patients who had myocardial infarction showed threshold capacity increased by 22%, which is considerably higher than in the group with no training. The work equivalent to the exercise was performed after training with lower pulse rate and systolic arterial pressure. In the majority of patients the volume of the heart decreased, as determined by X-ray and the amplitude coefficient of apex cardiogram diminished which justifies the assumption of improvement in the state of the myocardium in these patients. In patients with angina pectoris of effort there was an increase of threshold capacity which is explained by decreased pulse rate and systolic arterial pressure after physical loading.

[Apex cardiography in the assessment of the signs of early disorder of myocardial contractile capacity]. / Apekskardiografiia v otsenke nekotorykh priznakov rannego narusheniia sokratitel'noi sposobnosti miokarda.

Asynergia of systolic wave of the apexcardiogram was studied in 54 patients with various forms of ischemic heart disease. The paradoxical protrusions were divided into 4 types. A directly proportionate dependence was disclosed between the magnitude of asynergy and the degree of the pathological condition. The paradoxical protrusion diminished during treatment and rehabilitation in most patients, in some it disappeared, which may point to the functional character of disorders of myocardial contractility.
