ABSTRACT

In the study, distinctions in daily timecourse of spectral parameters of the heart rate variability (HRV) at rest wakefulness and at information load in students with different chronotypes are revealed. The most pronounced changes in the general spectral power of HRV due to fluctuations of all parameters, but especially the VLF, LF, HF waves and the LF/HF index were found in students with a daily chronotype at rest and after implementation of load tests during the different periods of the school day. In persons with an evening chronotype in conditions of rest, the greatest variability was found in a spectral HF component of HRV, and responses to information load were found during the day in different combinations of changes of LF and HF components and the LF/HF index. In students with a morning chronotype during rest wakefulness, considerable fluctuations of a proportion of LF waves were observed, whereas in response to information load during certain periods of the day, representation of LF and HF components of the spectrum was changed. The wide variability of HRV spectral parameters in students with daily activity, compared to students with early and late activities, reflects the advantages of persons with a daily chronotype in terms of adaptation to different operation modes and irregular stress information in the course of the day.

ABSTRACT

There was performed an assessment of anthropometric indices of physical development and functional parameters of the cardiovascular system, psychological and social status in 770 students of the higher educational institutions in the city ofSamara. There was revealed the presence of I-III degree obesity in 13.2% of young males and underweight in 19.1% of young females. Stress and disruption of the processes of the adaptation process were shown to be observed in 7.6% and 6.1% of students, respectively. There was found a tendency to hypertension in 12.6% of young males. Revealed changes are related to lifestyle of the modern student. The main factors for the improvement of the life quality is the duration of sleep and ultimate nutrition. Initially, the lower level of physical and functional capabilities is compensated by virtue of the correct organization of social and psychological factors and prevents possible deviations from the part of health.

ABSTRACT

The educational medium in varying secondary educational establishments of Samara was comparatively analyzed in accordance with the sanitary regulations SanPiN 2.4.2.1178-02 "Hygienic requirements for teaching conditions in general educational establishments". The study demonstrated that the teaching conditions at schools primarily required that school load be rationalized and the ergonomic parameters offurniture and artificial illumination improved.

ABSTRACT

In the publication the modern condition of the problem of suprabulbar regulation of breathing is analysed. The review on structure, neurochemistry and anatomic connections of the red nucleus and substantia nigra with the medullary respiratory center is submitted. The data on the respiratory effects of GABA and apomorphine microinjected into the red nucleus and substantia nigra as well as effects of their electrostimulation after the blockade of GABA and dopamine receptors in the respiratory center are discussed. The conceptual scheme of the mechanisms of realization the respiratory influences of the extrapyramydal system is offered.

ABSTRACT

The parameters of oral homeostasis were studied in patients with acute pneumonia before and after therapy. The redox potential, a shift of pH towards the acid values, decreased content of total protein, total and effective concentrations and reserve of albumin binding, and a drastic increase of toxicity index were detected. Analysis of oral fluid showed increased level of ionized calcium, nitrate anion, and decreased content of magnesium and ammonium cations.

ABSTRACT

Parameters of homeostasis in the oral liquid during adentia, after implantation of titanium implants gated in generally accepted way and also with usage of natursilum from Silybum marianum were studied. Application of natursilum in surgery and in postoperative period promoted optimization of an implant osteointegration and normalized physicochemical and metabolic parameters of the oral liquid.

ABSTRACT

The effect of intravenous administration of lactate dehydrogenase (5000 E/kg) on some metabolic parameters was investigated. The hyperenzymemia was accompanied by changes of metabolite content (glutamate, 2-oxoglutarate, lactate, dihydroxyacetone phosphate) and enzyme activities (aldolase, lactate dehydrogenase, transaminase) in heart, liver and skeletal muscles. Intravenously administered tritiated lactate dehydrogenase was preferentially found in skeletal muscles, liver, kidneys and some other organs.

ABSTRACT

Multi-level system of defense mechanisms is studied in 206 normal subjects living in an ecologically unfavorable region and working at chemical plants. Control group consisted of 24 subjects living in en ecologically safe region. The content of total protein and albumin and its effective and binding capacity were decreased, while the content of medium molecular weight peptides increased in the blood of subjects exposed to technogenic environmental pollution. The detected shifts are regarded as a mechanism of development of chronic fatigue syndrome.

ABSTRACT

Toxicants, that are present in chemical productions, influence functioning of protective mechanisms of the workers. The examined people have an increased content of the average molecular mass oligopeptides, changed ionic molecular composition of blood. Antioxidant protection with catalase participation is high. The accelerated replacement of membrane components displays an adaptation of organism to the chemical stress conditions.

ABSTRACT

The effects of maninile and obsidan and their combined action on metabolic processes were studied in a series of in vitro experiments. The metabolic processes serve as a prerequisite to energy supply and couple the anabolic and catabolic pathways of hepatic metabolism. The rate of aerobic and anaerobic oxidation of glucose was shown to decrease when maninile was in close contact with liver tissue. It is indicative of the indirect hypoglycemic action of maninile. There is evidence for the combined use of maninile and obsidan since it allows the balance of regulatory metabolites to be maintained. Also, metabolic changes became less if they were used in combination rather alone.

ABSTRACT

A homogeneous preparation of malate dehydrogenase was obtained from human myocardium, the enzyme structure-functional properties were studied. Alterations in structure characteristics of the enzyme, increase in its hydrophobic moiety, decrease of the enzyme activity were observed during impairments in atherosclerosis. The alterations of the enzyme properties appear to be involved in deterioration of energy metabolism as well as they are related to activation of liposynthesis in atherosclerosis.
