[Possibility of the treatment of tuberculosis with delayed-action polymeric isoniazid]. / O vozmozhnosti lecheniia tuberkuleza polimernym izoniazidom prolongirovannogo deistviia.

In vitro destruction of carboxymethylcephades (CMC) polymer, its based polymer isoniazid produced, and the in vivo remedial and long effect of the latter on a tuberculous process were studied. It was found that a polymer isoniazid in blood plasma gradually degraded by 80% within 5-6 days. The experiments on animals demonstrated a minimum reactive action of CMC capable of gradually biodegrading in the tissues. A possible treatment of tuberculosis with a polymer isoniazid administered once every week is shown.

[Bacteriological method of examination in the diagnosis of reactivation of the tuberculous process among contingents in ambulatory care group VII]. / Bakteriologicheskii metod obsledovaniia v diagnostike reaktivatsii tuberkuleznogo protsessa sredi kontingentov VII gruppy dispansernogo ucheta.

Under field conditions repeated bacteriological examination of tuberculous persons registered in the dispensary group VII was performed in 2 regions of the Kazakh SSR with different levels of the epidemiological process. The frequency of tubercle bacilli isolation in the persons ranged from 2.7 per cent in the region with a relatively favourable situation with respect to tuberculosis to 14.5 per cent in the region with the epidemiologically unfavourable situation. On the whole, in both the regions the main number of tubercle bacilli carriers was detected among the persons living in sparsely populated cattle breeding areas, the most distant from the Region centre. Analysis of the bacilli isolation quantitative aspect showed that massive (39.6 per cent) and moderate (42.8 per cent) tubercle bacilli isolation predominated.
