ABSTRACT
Electron-microscopic examination of 5 cases with histological diagnosis of Manganotti's cheilitis was made. As distinct from other types of heilitis, disintegration of the basement membrane (up to its disappearance in some areas) and pronounced changes in the basement layer of the epithelium are characteristic for this type. Shedding of plasmalemms, a decrease of desmosomal complexes, appearance of microvilli were seen in the basal cells of the epithelium. A pronounced reaction of blood and connective tissue cells which invade basal and spinous layer of the epithelium was observed.

64 cases of SGMC were studied. Clinical morphology of epidermoid carcinoma was studied according to the 2nd edition of the International histologic classification of the tumors of this site (WHO, Geneva, 1990). This allows to study not only incidence of this tumor depending on the site, sex and age, but to give new data on its biology. The malignancy of all the three types of this tumor (of low, moderate and high grade) was confirmed by means of histologic, histochemical, electron-microscopic (EM) and EM-histochemical methods. The previous assumption on benign character of the low-grade variant of the tumor was not confirmed.

The preparation KG-62 related to iodomethylates of hydroxyalkyl phosphinic acids with muscarinolytic effect has been studied. The study provides data on the development of experimental gastric ulcer among rats after injections of the preparation. On the basis of morphologic, morphometric and biochemical data it has been stated that the preparation KG-62 in a 5 mg/kg dose has a more strong effect leading to quick gastric ulcer healing. It was supposed that not only suppressing action on hydrochloric acid and pepsinogen secretion lies in the mechanism of the effect but also the activation of physiologic regulation in intact tissue.

The examinations described in this paper were undertaken by means of curettage and following hysterectomy for comparative assessment of the endometrium in patients with uterus myomatosus. Hyperplasia of the endometrium was recordable primarily from patients with menopausal ovarian dysfunction. Yet, endometrial structures were normal in 54 per cent of 178 myoma patients, and phases of incomplete secretion were recorded from 14.6 per cent. Effects of age, individual constitution, length of disease, tumour size, and age at menarche were not established. The findings obtained from vacuum curettage were largely in agreement with those gained from surgical specimens. Hence, non-invasive vacuum curettage may be recommended also for therapeutic control.
