ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze and clarify the relationship between the MZ generation's participation motivation in screen golf, self-esteem, and psychological happiness. To reach the goals of this study, 300 MZ generation screen golf participants were selected for this study. Accordingly, a questionnaire was distributed and 275 questionnaires were used for this study, excluding the answers that were omitted or unfaithful. SPSS Version 29.0 was used to show the frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis of the research. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the participation motivation of MZ generation screen golf participants had significant effects on positive self-esteem. Second, it was found that the participation motivation of MZ generation screen golf participants had significant effects on negative self-esteem. Third, it was found that the participation motivation of MZ generation screen golf participants had significant effects on psychological happiness. Fourth, it was found that the self-esteem of MZ generation screen golf participants had significant effects on psychological happiness. This study shows how to screen golf as part of a healthy leisure culture for the MZ generation and can enhance its psychological factors.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: Because evasion of tumor suppression is a critical step in cancer development, cancer cells have developed a variety of mechanisms to circumvent the influence of tumor suppressive pathways. Thus, genes that negatively regulate tumor suppressors could be considered novel types of oncogenes such as Bmi-1 repressing p16Ink4a and inhibiting p53 and were found to be frequently up-regulated in a variety of cancers. p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), which reportedly plays a crucial role as a tumor suppressor, is activated in number of lung adenocarcinomas, which is seemingly at odds with its role as a tumor suppressor. METHODS: We examined 10 lung adenocarcinomas and corresponding normal tissues and determined the expression levels of a variety of tumor suppressor proteins through real-time polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry and measured p38 MAPK activity by immunoblotting or immunohistochemistry analysis. In the in vitro cellular model, p38 activation by H-Ras and consequent senescence induction was achieved through retro-viral gene transduction. Similarly, the suppression of p16Ink4a by Bmi-1 after the introduction of H-Ras was achieved through transient transfection with cationic liposome. RESULTS: We detected several lung adenocarcinomas that were positive for activated p38 MAPK but evidenced reduced levels of p16Ink4a expression. The suppression of p16Ink4a occurred in parallel with an increase in Bmi-1 and/or p16Ink4a promoter hypermethylation. Consistent with these observations, the H-Ras-stimulated induction of p16Ink4a was suppressed significantly through the coexpression of Bmi-1 in vitro. DISCUSSION: These results demonstrate that the suppression of p16Ink4a by either the induction of Bmi-1 or the hypermethylation of p16Ink4 may be an important step in avoiding tumor surveillance by p38 MAPK during the development of lung cancer.

ABSTRACT

Double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) were synthesized by catalytic chemical vapor deposition using Fe-Mo/MgO as a catalyst at 1000 degrees C under the mixture of methane and hydrogen gas. The nanotubes were purified by acid but were not damaged. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed the purity of the tubes to be about 90%. The high-resolution transmission electron microscopy image showed that DWCNTs have inner tube diameters of 1.4-2.6 nm and outer tube diameters of 2.3-3.4 nm. We observed radial breathing modes in Raman spectra, which are related to the diameter of inner nanotubes. The purified DWCNTs were mixed with organic vehicles and glass frit, and then they were screen-printed on glass substrate coated with indium tin oxide. The field emission properties of the screen-printed DWCNT films were examined by varying the amount of glass frit ingredient within the DWCNT paste. The results showed that DWCNT emitters had good emission properties such as turn-on field of 1.33-1.78 V/microm and high brightness. When the applied anode voltage was gradually increased, current density and brightness became saturated. We also observed DWCNTs adsorbed on the anode plate; they were DWCNTs peeled off from the cathode plate for field emission measurement.
