ABSTRACT

In order to overcome the poor dispersion of traditional inorganic zinc-rich coating, addressing the sedimentation and the agglomeration caused by high zinc powder content and improve the anti-corrosion performance of coatings. In this paper, the molybdate intercalated hydrotalcite flake zinc layer double hydroxide (ZnAl-NO3-/LDH) was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis method at first, and the KH560 modified the Mo/LDH flake zinc powder was further obtained by ion exchange method. The results show that the samples have a layered structure of hydrotalcite with good crystal structure through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), and the molybdate corrosion inhibiting ions inserted successfully into the interlayer structure of hydrotalcite. Meanwhile, different contents of pigments and fillers were added into the inorganic zinc-rich coatings. It was found that the Nyquist radius of curvature and modulus value of the coating were the largest with a pigment and filler content of 40 %, the maximum corrosion potential was -0.017V, and the minimum corrosion current density was 3.377 × 10-7 A-cm-2. The result indicates that the coating has the best corrosion resistance with 40 % pigment content, which has good application prospects in the fields of cross-sea bridges, natural gas and oil pipelines et al.

ABSTRACT

A 3D CNT/few layered graphene construct (CNT-FLG) with mesopore structure was fabricated and applied in supercapacitors. The structure was acquired through a two-step method. Firstly, commercial multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MCNTs) were oxidized in a mixed solution of concentrated acid and modified with a couple of long-chain organic ions. Second, the above resultant product was carbonized at a high temperature. The achieved structure offers a 3D interconnected electrically conductive network as well as mesopore structure. It also significantly improves the specific surface area of MCNTs. Result of BET tests showed that the specific surface area of CNT-FLG reached to 2235 m2 /g. When acted as electrode materials in a supercapacitor structure, specific capacitance was approximately 531.2 F/g at a current density of 0.8 A/g. At current density of 50 A/g, specific capacitance remained 204.4 F/g. Besides, the capacitance retention was as high as 96.18 % after 10000 cycles at the current density of 5 A/g.

ABSTRACT

Rigid polyurethane foam, foam concrete, and vacuum insulation board are common roofing insulation materials. Their weathering performance under long-term multi-field coupling determines the overall service life of the roof. The weathering properties of rigid polyurethane foam, foam concrete and vacuum insulation panels were studied under freeze thaw, humid-heat, dry-wet, high-low temperature, and multi-field coupling cycles, respectively. The heat transfer and construction process of roof panels was simulated base on upper loading and moisture transfer factors. The result indicates that the mass loss of the foam concrete and the rigid polyurethane foam in the weathering test was significant, which led to the gradual increase of thermal conductivity. Meanwhile, the thermal conductivity and mass loss of vacuum insulation panels did not change due to the lack of penetration under external pressure, therefore, it is necessary to construct composite thermal-insulation materials to alleviate the adverse effects of the service environment on a single material and realize the complementary advantages and disadvantages of the two materials. The results of the numerical simulations indicated that the roof structure must be waterproofed, and its weatherproof performance index should be the same as that of the thermal insulation material. Considering structural deformation, the overall heat transfer performance of the product was increased by around 5%.

ABSTRACT

Novel copper rhodizonate (CPR) complexes are in situ grown on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) through a one-pot hydrothermal method. As anode materials for LIBs, the CPR/rGO composites show outstanding electrochemical lithium-storage performances, benefitting from both the insolubility of CPR in electrolytes and the effective assembly between CPR and rGO.
