ABSTRACT

Doxorubicin is a frequently used chemotherapeutic agent for treating various malignancies. However, it leads to severe cardiotoxic side effects, such as heart failure, and elevates the risk of sudden cardiac death among cancer patients. While oxidative stress has been identified as the primary cause of doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity, therapeutic antioxidant approaches have yielded unsatisfactory outcomes. The aim of this study is to explore the therapeutic potential of vaccarin, an active flavonoid glycoside extracted from traditional Chinese herbal agent Semen Vaccariae, in doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. We observed that vaccarin significantly ameliorates doxorubicin-induced heart dysfunction in mouse model and suppresses oxidative stress mediated cell apoptosis via specifically inhibiting the activation of p38 MAPK pathway. In vitro, we observed that vaccarin alleviates doxorubicin-induced mitochondrial membrane depolarization and ROS generation in H9c2 cell, but the p38 MAPK agonist anisomycin reverses these effects. Our findings provide a promising natural antioxidant to protect against DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.

ABSTRACT

As a new, high-strength and clean cast iron material, nitrogen-containing gray cast iron has excellent properties and a wide range of application prospects. However, the excellent material properties of the material not only make the machinability challenging, but also the high efficiency and quality of the machining process is a pressing issue. Therefore, it is necessary to study the machining characteristics of nitrogen-containing gray cast iron to obtain the optimal machining parameters to enrich the research work on nitrogen-containing gray cast iron. In this paper, the machining characteristics of nitrogen-containing gray cast iron are systematically studied, and the effects of cutting parameters on milling force, milling temperature, and surface roughness are analyzed. And, based on the machinability assessment, the objective function weights under different production requirements are determined by using hierarchical analysis trade-offs, and an integrated optimization model based on non-dominated ranking genetic algorithm and hierarchical analysis (AHP) is proposed. The model outputs the optimal combination of milling parameters by inputting the cutting speed (vc), feed rate per tooth (fz) and cutting depth (ap), surface roughness and cutting efficiency as the objective functions. The experimental results show that cutting depth has the greatest effect on the cutting force and cutting speed has the greatest effect on the cutting temperature and the surface roughness. The passivation effect of nitrogen on the graphite tip resulted in an increase in both cutting force and cutting temperature. The parameter optimization results indicated that the optimized roughing parameters significantly improve the surface quality while machining efficiently; the optimized finishing parameters improve Ra by 23.53% while ensuring higher MRR, which can achieve efficient and high-quality machining under different production requirements and provide an experimental basis for practical engineering applications of nitrogen-containing gray cast iron.

ABSTRACT

The development of the social public resource digital sharing system (SPRDSS) has been accelerated with the evolution of digital information and communication technologies (ICTs). This paper analyzes the dissipative structure features and formation process of SPRDSS in China. Combined with the Brusselator model and its transformation, this paper empirically analyzes the dissipative structure of SPRDSS using panel data collected from 30 Chinese provinces (excluding Tibet, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) from 2015 to 2019. The results show that the SPRDSS in China has pre-conditions to form a dissipative structure. At present, the SPRDSSs in most Chinese provinces have not yet formed the dissipative structure, but they are gradually evolving into it. The global orderliness of the sharing system is greater in eastern China than in central China and greater in central China than in western China. The potential for improving global orderliness is greater in western China than in central China and is greater in central China than in eastern China. Therefore, proper policies and measures should be adopted to accelerate the construction of SPRDSS based on the evolution of dissipative structure and to promote the sustainable development of the digital sharing economy.
