ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To map the nanocomposites used in the treatment of skin lesions. METHOD: A scoping review, according to the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology, carried out on eight databases, a list of references and Google Scholar to answer the question: "Which nanocomposites are used as a cover for the treatment of skin lesions?". Two independent reviewers selected the final sample using inclusion/exclusion criteria using the EndNote® and Rayyan programs. Data was extracted using an adapted form and reported using the PRISMA checklist extension, and the protocol was registered in the Open Science Framework (OSF). RESULTS: 21 articles were selected, with nanofibers, nanogels and nanomembranes as the nanocomposites described in wound healing, alone or in association with other therapies: negative pressure and elastic. Silver nanomaterials stand out in accelerating healing due to their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action, but caution should be exercised due to the risk of cytotoxicity and microbial resistance. CONCLUSION: Nanocomposites used in wound treatment are effective in accelerating healing and reducing costs, and the addition of bioactives to nanomaterials has added extra properties that contribute to healing.

RESUMO Objetivo: identificar fatores relacionados à desesperança em universitários. Método: estudo transversal, realizado em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior no estado do Piauí - Brasil, em 2017, com 142 estudantes dos cursos de saúde. Utilizou-se a Escala de Desesperança de Beck, Escala de Ideação Suicida de Beck e questionário socioeconômico e acadêmico. Os dados foram analisados utilizando os testes exato de Fisher, Mann-Whitney e Kruskall-Wallis. Resultados: dos estudantes com ideação suicida, 24 (77,4%) apresentaram nível de desesperança severa. Maiores médias na Escala de Desesperança foram observadas em estudantes do sexo masculino, que não frequentavam o curso desejado, com relato de insegurança quanto ao futuro profissional, usuários de álcool e outras drogas, com histórico de tentativa de suicídio, bullying e de humor deprimido. Conclusão: A desesperança correlaciona-se com a presença de ideação suicida e baixo rendimento acadêmico, destacando a importância de ações de apoio físico, mental e de saúde acadêmica.


RESUMEN Objetivo: identificar los factores relacionados con la desesperanza en los estudiantes universitarios. Método: estudio transversal, realizado en una Institución de Educación Superior del estado de Piauí, Brasil, en 2017, con 142 estudiantes de los cursos de salud. Se utilizó la escala de desesperanza de Beck, la escala de ideación suicida de Beck y un cuestionario socioeconómico y académico. Los datos se analizaron mediante las pruebas exactas de Fisher, Mann-Whitney y Kruskall-Wallis. Resultados: De los estudiantes con ideación suicida, 24 (77,4%) presentaban un nivel severo de desesperanza. Se observaron puntuaciones medias más altas en la escala de desesperanza en los estudiantes varones, que no asistieron al curso deseado, con informes de inseguridad sobre su futuro profesional, consumidores de alcohol y otras drogas, con antecedentes de intento de suicidio, acoso escolar y estado de ánimo deprimido. Conclusión: La desesperanza se correlaciona con la presencia de ideación suicida y el bajo rendimiento académico, destacando la importancia de las acciones de apoyo a la salud física, mental y académica.

Method: cross-sectional study conducted in a Higher Education Institution in the state of Piauí - Brazil, in 2017, with 142 students from the health courses. The Beck Hopelessness Scale, Beck Suicidal Intent Scale, and socioeconomic and academic questionnaire were used. The data were analyzed using Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney test, and Kruskall-Wallis test. Results: Of the students with suicidal ideation, 24 (77.4%) presented a severe level of hopelessness. Higher mean scores on the Hopelessness Scale were observed in male students, who did not attend the desired course, with reports of insecurity about their professional future, users of alcohol and other drugs, with a history of suicide attempts, bullying and depressed mood. Conclusion: Hopelessness correlates with the presence of suicidal ideation and low academic performance, highlighting the importance of physical, mental, and academic health support actions.

METHOD: Cross-sectional study with 142 university students. Suicide Ideation Scale and a questionnaire for characterization were used. Fischer's exact test, chi-square, Odds-Ratio, Kruskal-Wallis, and Spearman's correlation were performed. A significance level of 0.05 was adopted. RESULTS: The prevalence of suicidal ideation was 22%. It was associated to the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, bullying, suicide attempts (p-value = 0.000), and not attending the course desired (p-value = 0.001). It was observed that the higher the score the lower the academic performance (p-value = 0.000). There was a difference in the mean score according to course (p-value = 0.000), and the score was higher among psychology students. CONCLUSION: The high prevalence of suicidal ideation among university students in the health field reiterates the need to create intervention strategies, especially in the context of universities.

Resumo Objetivo: Identificar prevalência e fatores associados da ideação suicida em universitários da área da saúde. Método: Estudo transversal, com 142 universitários da área da saúde de instituição pública de Teresina-Piauí-Brasil. Utilizou-se Escala de Ideação Suicida e questionário para caracterização. Realizou-se teste qui-quadrado, exato de Fisher, cálculo da Odds-Ratio, Kruskal-Wallis e correlação de Spearman. Adotou-se nível de significância de 0,05. Resultados: A prevalência de ideação suicida foi 22%, sobretudo, entre homens, solteiros e com vínculo empregatício. Uso de álcool, tabaco e outras drogas, histórico de bullying, tentativa de suicídio e não estar no curso desejado estão associados a ideação suicida. Observou-se que quanto maior o escore da escala menor o rendimento acadêmico. Universitários do curso de psicologia possuem maior extensão da motivação e planejamento do comportamento suicida. Conclusão: Alta prevalência de ideação suicida entre universitários da área de saúde e fatores associados reforçam a necessidade de estratégias de intervenção nas universidades.


Resumen Objetivo: Identificar prevalencia de la ideación suicida en universitarios, del área de la salud, de institución de enseñanza superior pública y factores asociados. Método: Estudio transversal, con 142 universitarios. Se utilizó Escala de Ideación Suicida y cuestionario para caracterización. Se realizó una prueba Chi-cuadrado, exacta de Fisher, cálculo de la Odds-Ratio, Kruskal-Wallis y correlación de Spearman. Se adoptó un nivel de significancia de 0,05. Resultados: La prevalencia de ideación suicida fue 22% y estuvo asociada al uso de alcohol, tabaco y otras drogas, ser víctima de bullying, tener historial de intento de suicidio (p-valor = 0,000) y no frecuentar el curso que desea (p = 0,001). Se observó que cuanto mayor sea la puntuación de la escala menor rendimiento académico (p-valor = 0,000). Hay diferencia en el promedio de la puntuación por curso (p-valor = 0,000), siendo mayores en el curso de psicología. Conclusión: La alta prevalencia de ideación suicida entre universitarios del área de salud refuerza la necesidad de crear estrategias de intervención, principalmente, en el contexto de las universidades.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: compreender os sentimentos, estigmas e limitações laborais, familiares e sociais do transtorno afetivo bipolar para a pessoa e o familiar cuidador. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial, de porte II, com 12 pessoas diagnosticadas com transtorno afetivo bipolar e quatro familiares cuidadores. Obtiveram-se os dados mediante entrevista com roteiro semiestruturado, analisando-os mediante a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo na modalidade Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Resultados: identificou-se que o transtorno afetivo bipolar é visto com preconceito e carrega vários estigmas sociais, como vergonha, medo, raiva e tristeza. Expressou-se, por alguns participantes, a dificuldade em manter vínculo empregatício ou ingressar no mercado de trabalho após a manifestação do transtorno. Conclusão: compreendeu-se que o transtorno afetivo bipolar carrega a marca da cronificação e do preconceito.(AU)


Objective: to understand the feelings, stigmas and work, family and social limitations of bipolar affective disorder for the person and family caregiver. Method: this is a qualitative and descriptive study in a Psychosocial Care Center, size II, with 12 people diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder and four family caregivers. Data was obtained through interviews with semi-structured script, analyzing them using the technique of Content Analysis in the Thematic Content Analysis modality. Results: it was identified that bipolar affective disorder is viewed with prejudice and carries various social stigmas, such as shame, fear, anger and sadness. Some participants expressed the difficulty in maintaining employment or entering the labor market after the onset of the disorder. Conclusion: it was understood that bipolar affective disorder bears the mark of chronicity and prejudice.(AU)


Objetivo: comprender los sentimientos, estigmas y las limitaciones laborales, familiares y sociales del trastorno afectivo bipolar para la persona y el cuidador familiar. Método: se trata de un estudio cualitativo y descriptivo en un Centro de Atención Psicosocial, tamaño II, con 12 personas diagnosticadas con trastorno afectivo bipolar y cuatro cuidadores familiares. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante entrevistas con guiones semiestructurados, analizándolos en la técnica de Análisis de Contenido en la modalidad de Análisis de Contenido Temático. Resultados: se identificó que el trastorno afectivo bipolar es visto con prejuicio y conlleva varios estigmas sociales, como la vergüenza, el miedo, la ira y la tristeza. Algunos participantes expresaron la dificultad de mantener el empleo o ingresar al mercado laboral después de la manifestación del trastorno. Conclusión: se entendió que el trastorno afectivo bipolar lleva la marca de cronicidad y prejuicio.(AU)
