ABSTRACT

The development of digital technology and the sharing economy has extended corporations' innovative activities beyond the corporation's boundaries, so it has become more urgent to govern the lack of social responsibility and alienation of platform corporations from the perspective of social agents. First, the platform's CSR classification and social responsibility governance's main content are analyzed in this research. Then, this study uses government agencies, platform corporations, users, and the public as governance subjects and compares governance decisions with and without public and user oversight. Finally, the optimal balance strategy for each governing subject, the optimal trajectory of governance volume, and the trajectory of total revenue are obtained. The study found that: 1) Public and user supervision can improve the governance volume while encourage the governance motivation of government agencies and platform corporations. 2) The level of user supervision effort has a greater impact on the total governance revenue than public supervision. 3) The revenue of the system and the governance volume are greater in a centralized decision-making process, indicating that those involved should co-operate in governance based on the principle of mutual benefit. 4) The platform corporation has an incompatible but unified relationship between its social duty and financial success.

ABSTRACT

In an innovation ecosystem, the digital transformation decisions and game mechanisms of entities are paramount issues to be studied. Consequently, this study constructs a digital transformation SD evolutionary game model based on expectancy theory and Lyapunov's first law to address the above issues. The results demonstrate the following: (1) Digital technology empowerment benefits, spillover effects, and supervision benefits are positively correlated with the willingness of the three players to engage in digital transformation; (2) Regardless of how the initial will of the players changes, the decision of the evolutionary game system is ultimately stable in (empower, transform, supervise). Compared with governments, platform centers, and nodal enterprises have a stronger will for digital transformation. However, the governments' will is the key to the convergence speed of the game system to the equilibrium point. (3) If the static/dynamic spillover effect can cover the transformation loss, even if the transformation profits of nodal enterprises are negative, nodal enterprises will still choose the game strategy of "transformation". When the government subsidies are less than the initial value of 2, the game system has two possible strategy choices: (empower, nontransform, nonsupervise) and (empower, transform, supervise). As such, this study can fill the research gaps and address the barriers to digital transformation among stakeholders.

ABSTRACT

Novel bismuth selenite iodate oxide BiSeIO6 was synthesized in a mild hydrothermal condition. BiSeIO6 was crystallized in the polar space group Pna21 of an orthorhombic system. The crystal structure features a three-dimensional framework composed of three types of lone pair cations with distorted BiO7 polyhedra, SeO3 pyramids, and IO3 pyramids in one structure. Interestingly, BiSeIO6 exhibits a strong and phase-matchable second-harmonic generation (SHG) of ∼6 times that of KH2PO4 (KDP). Dipole moment analysis shows that all three local acentric groups of BiO7, SeO3, and IO3 cooperatively contribute to the large macroscopic polarization and thereby strong SHG efficiency of BiSeIO6. In addition, BiSeIO6 has a broad transparency range from 0.35 to 11 µm, indicating its promising nonlinear optical applications from visible to mid-infrared bands.

ABSTRACT

Countries all over the world are looking for fuel to replace fossil energy due to environmental concerns and a scarcity of fossil fuels. Oil shale (OS) and rice husk (RH) are both viable fuels, although they both have issues like high ash content and poor calorific value. OS and RH were used as feedstock for high-quality fuel in this study, which uses a hydrothermal technique to provide a novel way to utilize OS and rice. At different hydrothermal temperatures (150, 200 and 250 °C), including combustion and pyrolysis processes, the thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) was used to analyse thermal transformation characteristics of co-hydrothermal carbonization (co-HTC) of OS and RH, as well as the synergistic effects. Results showed that the co-HTC pretreatment had a significant effect on the thermal transformation behaviour of OS and RH. On the one hand, the co-HTC has higher volatile content than its calculated value. On the other hand, a synergistic effect was found in combustion processes, and this effect was the most obvious when the hydrothermal temperature was around 200 °C, and the characteristic peak of functional groups vibration was strong. Therefore, the co-HTC was considered suitable for combustion. The combination of co-HTC modification with subsequent thermochemical processes has positive implications for the energy production and utilization of organic waste.

ABSTRACT

A feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary yeast culture (YC) on health status in digestive tract of juvenile Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus Vannamei. Shrimps (initial weight: 3.33 ± 0.06 g) were fed with graded levels of dietary YC (control, 0.3%, 0.5% and 1.0%). Results of the present study showed that villus height and the ratio between villus height and crypt depth in the digestive tract of juvenile shrimp was significantly increased by dietary 0.5% and 1.0%YC (P < 0.05). Besides, dietary 0.5% and 1.0%YC significantly activities of phenoloxidase (PO), lysozyme (LZ), acid phosphatase (ACP) and alkaline phosphatase (AKP) (P < 0.05), significantly up-regulated mRNA levels of prophenoloxidase (propo), lysozyme (lz), anti-lipopolysaccharide factor (alf), crustin and penaienadin (P < 0.05) and down-regulated mRNA levels of caspase-1, nuclear factor κB p65 (nf-κbp65) myeloid differentiation primary response protein (myd88) and toll like receptor (tlr) in the digestive tract of juvenile shrimp (P < 0.05). Compared with the control, dietary 0.5%YC increased Chao1 index in the digestive tract of juvenile shrimp. In addition, compared with the control, dietary 0.5% and 1.0%YC significantly increased relative abundance of Lactobacillus (P < 0.05). It can be concluded that dietary YC made positive contribution to health status in digestive tract of juvenile shrimp through improving morphology and microbiota, enhancing immune function, and inhibiting inflammation of digestive tract.

ABSTRACT

The effects of hydrothermal temperature and catalyst concentration on the basic elements and combustion characteristics and kinetic parameters of hydrochars were investigated using ultimate analyzer and thermogravimetric method with rice husk as the research object and CaO as the additives. The results showed that: (1) the fixed carbon content of hydrochars gradually increased with the increase of hydrothermal temperature, whereas the volatile content gradually decreased. When CaO was added, the changes of fixed carbon and volatile fraction gradually decreased with the increase of hydrothermal temperature, and H/C atomic ratio increased to different degrees, which had a certain inhibitory effect on the degree of hydrothermal carbonization of rice husk. (2) The peak of the volatile fraction combustion section of hydrochars combustion derivative thermogravimetric curve was higher than that of the fixed carbon combustion section. CaO concentration has less effect on the volatile combustion section, and the combustion peak of the fixed carbon section is significantly reduced. (3) When the heating rate of the combustion test is accelerated, the ignition and burnout temperatures of the sample increase and the overall combustion curve shifts to the high temperature region. (4) The comprehensive combustion index SN decreases with the increase in hydrothermal temperature. When the hydrothermal temperature is certain, the CaO concentration causes the SN to increase and then decrease, which finally reduces the combustion performance of hydrochars. (5) The activation energy of the fixed carbon combustion section of hydrochars is lower than that of the volatile combustion section, and the activation energy of both volatile and fixed carbon combustion sections gradually decreases after adding CaO. The primary reaction kinetic model was used to describe the combustion kinetics of hydrochars, and the correlation coefficients (R2) were all above 0.92, and the results were reliable.

ABSTRACT

All-solid-state sodium batteries (ASSSBs) are attractive alternatives to lithium-ion batteries for grid-scale energy storage due to their high safety and ubiquitous distribution of Na sources. A critical component for ASSSB is sodium-ion conducting solid-state electrolyte (SSE). Here, we report a high-performance sodium-ion SSE with the recently developed bulk interfacial superionic conductor (BISC) concept. The ionic conductivity and areal conductance of the Na+ BISC at 25 °C reaches 6.5 × 10-4 S cm-1 and 260 mS cm-2, respectively. Using NaxCo0.7Mn0.3O2 (x ≈ 1.0, NaCMO) as the cathode active material, all-solid-state Na||NaCMO batteries exhibiting small overpotential and ∼180 cycle life are demonstrated under room temperature. This approach may also be used to prepare other metal ion, such as Mg2+, Al3+, and K+, based all-solid-state batteries.
