ABSTRACT

Targets faced by inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) are often non-cooperative, with target maneuvering being the main manifestation of this non-cooperation. Maneuvers cause ISAR imaging results to be severely defocused, which can create huge difficulties in target identification. In addition, as the ISAR bandwidth continues to increase, the impact of migration through resolution cells (MTRC) on imaging results becomes more significant. Target non-cooperation may also result in sparse aperture, leading to the failure of traditional ISAR imaging algorithms. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm to realize MTRC correction and sparse aperture ISAR imaging for maneuvering targets simultaneously named whale optimization algorithm-fast iterative shrinkage thresholding algorithm (WOA-FISTA). In this algorithm, FISTA is used to perform MTRC correction and sparse aperture ISAR imaging efficiently and WOA is adopted to estimate the rotational parameter to eliminate the effects of maneuvering on imaging results. Experimental results based on simulation and measured datasets prove that the proposed algorithm implements sparse aperture ISAR imaging and MTRC correction for maneuvering targets simultaneously. The proposed algorithm achieves better results than traditional algorithms under different signal-to-noise ratio conditions.

ABSTRACT

Light-driven valorization conversion of CO2 is an encouraging carbon-negative pathway that shifts energy-reliance from fossil fuels to renewables. Herein, a hierarchical urchin-like hollow-TiO2@CdS/ZnS (HTO@CdS/ZnS) Z-scheme hybrid synthesized by an in situ self-assembly strategy presents superior photocatalytic CO2-to-CO activity with nearly 100% selectivity. Specifically, benefitting from the reasonable architectural and interface design, as well as surface modification, this benchmarked visible-light-driven photocatalyst achieves a CO output of 62.2 µmol·h-1 and a record apparent quantum yield of 6.54% with the Co(bpy)32+ (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) cocatalyst. It rivals all the incumbent selective photocatalytic conversion of CO2 to CO in the CH3CN/H2O/TEOA reaction systems. Specifically, the addition of HTO and stabilized ZnS enables the photocatalyst to effectively upgrade optical and electrical performances, contributing to efficient light-harvesting and photogenerated carrier separation, as well as interfacial charge transfer. The tremendous enhancement of photocatalytic performance reveals the superiority of the Z-scheme heterojunction assembled from HTO and CdS/ZnS, featuring the inner electric field derived from the band bending of HTO@CdS/ZnS make CdS resistant to photocorrosion. This study allows access to inspire studies on rationally modeling and constructing diverse heterostructures for the storage and conversion of renewables and chemicals.

ABSTRACT

Bovine pericardium (BP) has been used as leaflets of prosthetic heart valves. The leaflets are sutured on metallic stents and can survive 400 million flaps (~10-year life span), unaffected by the suture holes. This flaw-insensitive fatigue resistance is unmatched by synthetic leaflets. We show that the endurance strength of BP under cyclic stretch is insensitive to cuts as long as 1 centimeter, about two orders of magnitude longer than that of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The flaw-insensitive fatigue resistance of BP results from the high strength of collagen fibers and soft matrix between them. When BP is stretched, the soft matrix enables a collagen fiber to transmit tension over a long length. The energy in the long length dissipates when the fiber breaks. We demonstrate that a BP leaflet greatly outperforms a TPU leaflet. It is hoped that these findings will aid the development of soft materials for flaw-insensitive fatigue resistance.

ABSTRACT

Achieving tough and stable tissue adhesion under a physiological environment is of great significance for the clinical applications of hydrogel adhesives. The current tough hydrogel adhesives face challenges in the preservation of the maximal adhesion for a long time due to swelling. Here, we propose a double-network strategy for tough tissue adhesion by a hydrogel with long-term stability under a physiological environment. A double-network hydrogel consisting of a covalently crosslinked primary network with tunable hydrophilicity and a non-covalently crosslinked secondary network with functional groups is designed. The primary network exhibited hydrophobicity in the physiological environment, which could constrict the secondary network and limit the swelling of the entire hydrogel. The secondary network could form strong interlinks with tissue and provide large energy dissipation through the unzipping of its noncovalent crosslinks when separated by a force. The combination of the two networks resulted in a tough and stable tissue adhesion. A poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/calcium alginate hydrogel synthesized based on this strategy realized an adhesion energy of 300-500 J m-2 with porcine tissues, and the maximal adhesion could be maintained for over 1000 min after submerging in a PBS solution at 37 °C. The swelling behavior of the hydrogel and changes in mechanical properties under the physiological environment are studied, and its application in repairing the aorta wound is demonstrated.

ABSTRACT

In recent years, with the vigorous development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the application of AI in education is becoming more and more extensive. This study makes a theoretical analysis of AI-Intellectualized Information Technology (IT). Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT)-Based Speech Recognition (SR) and Genetic Algorithm (GA)-Based Image Recognition (IR) are used to analyze the College Ideological and Political Education (IAPE). The research findings prove that the advantages of integrating AI-intellectualized IT on College IAPE outweigh the disadvantages. The improvement of technological development, which accounts for 71.17% of undergraduate gains, is the most significant, and the smallest gain is technology coverage, which is 36.80%. Overall, 57.21% are interested in new technology, and the students' enthusiasm accounts for 30.77%. Most of the students focus on the innovation performance of technology, accounting for 75.92%. With an average influence of 89.04% on undergraduates, technology has the largest impact, followed by 85.78% on students with masters or higher degrees. The largest impact of diversified teaching methods for all students is 62.48%. This study provides some reference values for AI-intellectualized IT research and analysis, as well as students' IAPE.

ABSTRACT

Transcription factors (TFs) bind to specific DNA regions, although their binding specificities cannot account for their cell type-specific functions. It has been shown in well-studied systems that TFs combine with co-factors into transcriptional regulatory modules (TRMs), which endow them with cell type-specific functions and additional modes of regulation. Therefore, the prediction of TRMs can provide fundamental mechanistic insights, especially when experimental data are limiting or when no regulatory proteins have been identified. Our method rTRM predicts TRMs by integrating genomic information from TF ChIP-seq data, cell type-specific gene expression and protein-protein interaction data. Here we present a freely available web interface to rTRM (http://www.rTRM.org/) supporting all the options originally described for rTRM while featuring flexible display and network calculation parameters, publication-quality figures as well as annotated information on the list of genes constituting the TRM.
