ABSTRACT
Objetivo: Describir el resultado de la técnica de fijación muscular orbicular externa en la Blefaroplastia inferior. Método: Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, prospectiva en pacientes que asistieron a la consulta de Cirugía Plástica del Hospital "Camilo Cienfuegos" entre enero 2018 a enero 2019, la muestra estuvo constituida por 43 pacientes. Para diagnosticarlos se utilizó la clasificación de Ginsbach, con criterios de exclusión el hábito de fumar. Se tuvo en cuenta variables como edad, sexo, deformidad palpebral inferior, complicaciones en el post operatorio a las 24 h y a los 30 días, y grado de satisfacción de los pacientes intervenidos. Se utilizaron métodos de revisión documental, observación, análisis y síntesis y empírico (encuesta), utilizadas para evaluar los resultados. La investigación se realizó siguiendo procedimientos éticos. Resultados: Mostraron que la mayor cantidad de pacientes estuvo en el grupo edad entre 46-50 años todos femeninos, el exceso de piel y las patas de gallina fueron las deformidades que predominaron. La complicación que se presentó fue el sangramiento posoperatorio resuelto en las primeras horas, 42 pacientes refirieron estar satisfechos. Conclusiones: La blefaroplastia es una técnica que se ha venido modificando junto a la necesidad de brindar procedimientos que ofrezcan seguridad y efectividad, en cuanto a la corrección de deformidades en el parpado inferior, con un adecuado tiempo de recuperación, resultados con menor riesgo de complicaciones(AU)
Objective: To describe the outcome of the external orbicularis oris muscle fixation technique in lower blepharoplasty. Methods: A descriptive, prospective research was conducted in patients who attended the Plastic Surgery consultation of the Hospital "Camilo Cienfuegos" from January 2018 to January 2019, the sample consisted of 43 patients. In order to diagnose them, the Ginsbach classification was used, with smoking as exclusion criteria. Variables such as age, gender, lower palpebral deformity, postoperative complications at 24 h and 30 days, and degree of satisfaction of the operated patients were taken into account. Documentary review, observation, analysis and synthesis and empirical (survey) methods were used to evaluate the results. The research was carried out following ethical procedures. Results: They showed that the greatest number of patients was in the age group between 46-50 years old, all of them female; excess skin and goose bumps were the predominant deformities. The complication that occurred was postoperative bleeding resolved in the first hours, 42 patients reported to be satisfied. Conclusions: Blepharoplasty is a technique that has been modified along with the need to provide procedures that offer safety and effectiveness, in terms of correction of deformities in the lower eyelid, with adequate recovery time, results with lower risk of complications(AU)

La preservación del patrimonio cultural ha jugado un papel importante en el desarrollo científico-técnico de Cuba, por ello es una necesidad rescatar y mantener actualizada la historia de las publicaciones que divulgaron resultados de investigaciones científicas. Objetivo: Valorar la trayectoria de la Revista de Ciencias Médicas 3 de Diciembre en la socialización de los resultados científicos del sector de la salud en la provincia Sancti Spíritus. Metodología: Se realizó un análisis documental para obtener evidencias y realizar el análisis histórico tendencial de la revista. Conclusiones: Constituyó un precedente sustancial para el desarrollo de la publicación científica de las ciencias de la salud en la provincia Sancti Spíritus. El canje nacional e internacional enriqueció el fondo documental de las bibliotecas médicas del territorio y con ello el nuevo conocimiento(AU)
The preservation of cultural patrimony has played an important role in the technical and scientific development in Cuba that is why it is a need to rescue and maintain the history of publications that spread the results of scientific research updated. Objective: To value the course of the Journal of Medical Sciences December 3 in the socialization of scientific results belonging to health sciences in Sancti Spiritus. Methodology: A documental analysis was carried out to get evidences and conduct a tendency and historical analysis of the magazine. Conclusion: It constituted a substantial antecedent for the development of scientific publishing in medical sciences in Sancti Spiritus. National and international exchange enriched the documental background of medical libraries in the territory and a new knowledge with it(AU)

Fundamento: La consulta y referencia es un servicio que se presta en las bibliotecas y dentro de sus bondades está la diseminación selectiva de la información que se encarga de mantener actualizado a los profesionales de las Ciencias Médicas la que suministra periódicamente las referencias de los documentos que corresponden con sus intereses cognoscitivos. Objetivo: Diagnosticar las competencias informacionales que tienen los bibliotecarios de las ciencias médicas para la diseminación selectiva de la información en la provincia de Sancti Spíritus. Metodología: Se realizó una investigación transversal en el periodo de enero a noviembre de 2014 en la red de bibliotecas médicas; con una muestra compuesta por 57 bibliotecarios, se eligió mediante un muestreo estratificado. Se recogió información sobre el nivel profesional de los bibliotecarios, la implementación del servicio de diseminación selectiva de la información y la utilidad del mismo, además de aquella relativa a los documentos utilizados por estos profesionales para enviar la información, así como sobre las bases de datos bibliográficas utilizadas y medios que empleaban para obtener los datos de la tarjeta control de usuario y bases de datos bibliográficas. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el paquete estadístico profesional SPSS (versión 15.0.1, SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA). Resultados: Se observaron carencias de competencias informacionales, fundamentalmente, técnicas y metodológicas, para desarrollar el servicio de diseminación selectiva de la información, por lo que al buscar y evaluar la información que entregan a los usuarios del servicio es insuficiente no en cantidad sino en calidad. Conclusiones: Los bibliotecarios de las Ciencias Médicas de la provincia de Sancti Spíritus no tienen suficientes competencias informacionales para ofrecer el servicio de diseminación selectiva de la información y refieren la necesidad de cursos de superación.
Background: The consultation and reference is a service that is lent in the libraries and the selective dissemination of the information that takes charge of maintaining is inside its kindness up-to-date to the professionals of the Medical Sciences that gives the references of the documents that correspond with its cognitive interests periodically Objective: To diagnose the informational competitions that the librarians of the medical sciences for the selective dissemination of the information in the county of Sancti Spíritus Methodology: It was carried out a traverse investigation in the period from January to November, 2014 in the net of medical libraries; with a sample composed by 57 librarians, it was chosen by means of a stratified sampling. Information was picked up about the professional profile of the librarians, the implementation of the service of selective dissemination of the information and the utility of it, besides that relative to the documents used by these professionals to send the information, as well as on the used bibliographical databases and means that were used to obtain the data of the card user control and bibliographical databases. The data were processed by means of the professional statistical package SPSS (version 15.0.1, SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USES) Results: Lacks of informational competitions were observed, fundamentally, technical and methodological, to develop the service of selective dissemination of the information, for what is insufficient when looking for and to evaluate the information that is given to the users of the service not in quantity but in quality Conclusions: Librarians of the Medical Sciences of the county of Sancti Spíritus doesn't have enough informational competitions to offer the service of selective dissemination of the information and they refer the necessity of overcoming courses.

Fundamento: La memoria histórica de los Centros Provinciales de Información favorece la comprensión del presente y la proyección del futuro del Sistema Nacional de Bibliotecas Médicas en Cuba. Objetivo: Determinar el papel que históricamente ha desempeñado el Centro Provincial de Ciencias Médicas de Sancti Spíritus en el desarrollo del sistema de salud entre 1980 y 2012 Metodología: Se empleó la perspectiva epistemológica cualitativa, apoyada en el método histórico-lógico, el análisis documental y la entrevista en profundidad. Conclusiones: La exploración aporta nuevos conocimientos sobre las características que distinguen al Centro Provincial de Información: Su alcance, limitaciones, inserción en los principales problemas de salud en el territorio y sus manifestaciones concretas. Enriquece los estudios regionales sobre el fenómeno informacional y su relación con los procesos asistenciales, educacionales y científicos del sistema de salud.
Background: The historical memory of the Provincial Centers of Information favors the understanding of the present and the projection of the future of the National System of Medical Libraries in Cuba. Objective: To determine the role that historically has carried out the Provincial Center of Medical Sciences of Sancti Spíritus in the development of the system of health from 1980 and 2012. Methodology: The epistemological perspective qualitative was used, supported in the historical-logical method, the documental analysis and the interview in depth. Conclusions: The exploration contributes new knowledge on the characteristics that distinguish to the Provincial Center of Information: their reach, limitations, insert in the main problems of health in the territory and their concrete manifestations. It enriches the regional studies on the informational phenomenon and their relationship with the assistance, educational and scientific processes of the system of health.

Introducción: Las Bibliotecas Universitarias son instituciones que reúnen, organizan y difunden información para el aprendizaje, la docencia y la investigación, y potencian la creación de nuevos conocimientos pero estos servicios no siempre son utilizados al máximo. Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de satisfacción que poseen los usuarios de la biblioteca universitaria de Ciencias Médicas Faustino Pérez Hernández sobre los servicios recibidos. Material y Método: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal. La población estuvo constituida por 116 estudiantes y 124 profesores. Se aplicó un cuestionario anónimo y autoadministrado para la recogida de la información. Las variables analizadas fueron: satisfacción de los usuarios y servicios prestados por la biblioteca. Resultados: El 83 porciento de los estudiantes visitaron la biblioteca varias veces a la semana, sólo el 46,8 porciento de los docentes tienen ese hábito y el 16,1 porciento de estos la visitan menos de una vez por mes. El 92,2 porciento de los estudiantes y el 81,4 porciento de los docentes se dirigen a la biblioteca del centro para satisfacer sus necesidades informativas; los documentos más utilizados fueron los libros (100 porciento de los estudiantes y el 87,9 porciento de los profesores), los profesores utilizan las revistas (75,8 porciento) y las tesis (50,8 porciento). Conclusiones: Se observó buen nivel de satisfacción de los usuarios en la mayoría de los servicios prestados por la biblioteca sobresaliendo la satisfacción por la calidad en la atención recibida por las bibliotecarias; muestran mayor nivel de insatisfacción la tecnología de la biblioteca y el acceso a la información para su trabajo diario y para la docencia(AU)
Introduction: University libraries are institutions that collect, organize and spread information for learning, teaching and researching, and reinforce the creation of new knowledge, but these services are not always used to the maximum. Objective: To evaluate the satisfaction degree that users of the"Faustino Pérez Hernández." university library of Medical Sciences have about the services received. Material and Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was made. The population was made up of 116 students and 124 professors. An anonymous and self-administered questionnaire was applied for collecting information. The variables analyzed were: users' satisfaction and services provided by the library. Results: 83 percent of students visited the library several times a week, 46,8 percent of professors only have that habit and 16,1percent of them visit it less than once a month. 92,2 percent of the students and 81,4 percent of the professors go to the library of the center to satisfy their informational needs. The documents used were books (100 percent of the students and 87,9 percent of the professors), the professors use journals (75,8 percent) and theses (50,8 percent). Conclusions: A good satisfaction degree of users was observed in most of the services provided by the library, with the satisfaction with quality in the attention received by librarians standing out. A higher degree of dissatisfaction is shown with the librarys technology and the access to information for their daily work and for teaching
