ABSTRACT
The degradation of the environment that has been occurring due to several factors resulting from anthropogenic activities such as pollution, illegal trade of wild animals and flora, deforestation, among others, has increased more and more, human beings are the main causes of impacts on nature, however, they are the only ones capable of reversing this process, bringing the need for Environmental Education in order to raise awareness about the importance of conservation and sustainability. Many people keep wild animals in their homes, where many of them are illegally domesticated, such acts often occur due to lack of information. Environmental education as a conservation strategy, seeks to review values and reconstruct principles that serve as a basis for actions capable of reversing or avoiding impacts caused by human action. Among all the proposed activities (workshops, games, word searches, etc.) we had a positive feedback from the public, there was an interest in them when questioning the habits of animals, mainly about the behavior, feeding, legislation and preservation of species and animals. environments. In the activities carried out at the Bioterium, the public was able to get to know the species and it was extremely important for the children to have this contact. In the Reptarium, the public was able to photograph and observe the behavior of the species, sighted by the walkway where visitors have a broader view of the species released during the pilot experiments of the Reptarium.
A degradação do meio ambiente que vem ocorrendo por diversos fatores decorrentes das atividades antrópicas como, poluição, comércios ilegais de animais silvestres e da flora, desmatamento entre outros, tem aumentado cada vez mais, os seres humanos são os principais causadores de impactos na natureza, no entanto, são os únicos capazes de reverter esse processo, trazendo a necessidade da Educação Ambiental a fim da conscientização sobre a importância da conservação e sustentabilidade. Muitas pessoas mantêm animais silvestres em suas residências, onde muitos destes são domesticados de forma ilegal, tais atos muitas vezes ocorrem por falta de informação. A educação ambiental como estratégia de conservação, procura rever valores e reconstruir princípios que servem de base para ações capazes de reverter ou evitar impactos causados pela ação humana. Dentre todas as propostas de atividades (oficinas, jogos, caça palavras etc.) tivemos um retorno positivo da parte do público, houve interesse deles ao questionarem sobre os hábitos dos animais, principalmente sobre o comportamento, alimentação, legislação e preservação das espécies e dos ambientes. Nas atividades realizadas no Biotério, o público pôde conhecer as espécies e foi de suma importância para as crianças terem esse contato. Já no Reptário, o público pôde fotografar e observar o comportamento dos animais, avistados pela passarela onde os visitantes têm uma visão mais ampla das espécies soltas durante os experimentos pilotos do Reptário.
