ABSTRACT

Mastitis, a major veterinary problem widespread in many regions, is caused mainly by Staphylococcus spp. However, there is no current reliable information about the role of Staphylococcus aureus and their toxins in the development of mastitis in cows in the territory of the Russian Federation. The aim of this investigation was to determine the profile of exotoxins of S. aureus from cow milk from farms of Central Russia. A total of 60 isolates of S. aureus were obtained from milk samples of cows with the subclinical form of mastitis. The exotoxin genes were identified using 2 types of PCR assays. The diversity of enterotoxin genes was studied by multiplex PCR. The percentage occurrence of enterotoxin genes was as follows: sea, 53.3%; seb, 3.3%; sec, 50%; sed, 4%; see, 46.6%; seg, 70%; sei, 10%; selp, 3.3%; and tsst1, 1.6%. The seh gene was not detected. The genes of pore-forming toxins and phenol-soluble modulins were identified by singleplex PCR and consisted of the following: hlA, 70%; lucS, 46.6%; psmA, 81.6%; psmB, 95%; and hld, 78.3%. The most abundant genes were psm (psmB, 95%), which codes for pore-forming toxins, and seg (70%), which codes for enterotoxins. The production of some enterotoxins in bacterial culture medium was detected by ELISA. The level of toxin production was near 1 ng/mL for SEA, SEE, SEG, SEI, SELP, and TSST-1 and reached a maximal level of 18 ng/mL for SEE. In the present work, we show that subclinical mastitis in cows is associated with S. aureus in the central region of the Russian Federation. Most of the isolates containing enterotoxin genes also had cytotoxin genes.

ABSTRACT

The authors examined 79 children presenting with rhinosinusitis. The objective of the study was to evaluate the state of the autonomous nervous system in these patients. The vegetative tone was determined with the use of the Wayne tables and questionnaires based on the results of the Preveli and Danielopulo tests. The functional condition of the myocardium was assessed by ECG and echocardiography. It was shown that the acute period of rhinosinusitis was more frequently associated with the development of asthenoneurotic syndrome, emotional lability, and changes of arterial pressure than with other symptoms of vegetative dysfunction. The pathological changes suggesting the functional disorders were recorded on ECG in 63.3% of the patients while the echocardiographic studies revealed alterations in the valvular apparatus in 40.5% of the cases.

ABSTRACT

The lipid peroxidation and antioxidant enzymes in the blood of men with oligosymptomatic forms of chronic inflammation of the urogenital tract complicated by infertility are studied. Studied cytokine status of sperm in infertile men. The positive effect of imupret in combination with gepatomax on the oxidative activity systems, which leads to an improvement of leukocyte subpopulations of sperm, to normalize the concentrations of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and therefore, an increase in fertilizing are shown.

ABSTRACT

It was set by us, that at intensifying of herpetic stomatititis of mucous membrane of oral cavity for patients the deficit of lysozyme and antibodies of class is marked A in the mixed saliva. At what the degree of expressed of the exposed violations of local immunity correlated with frequency of relapses of viral infection and its duration.

ABSTRACT

By us for diagnostics of activity of inflammatory process for patients by a chronic bronchitis (CB) in combination with insulintolerance the necessity of leadthrough of study of gemogramme and concentration of C-reactive protein was set for the whey of blood. Information of integral indexes of activity of inflammation (IAI) for patients with CB at presence of insulintolerance in the period of intensifying, and also and period of remission at majority inspected remained higher than norm in relation to healthy people. Quantitative determination of C-reactive protein in the whey of blood for the patients of CB with insulintolerance along with determination of level of leucocytes and indexes of leukogramme is the laboratory marker of activity of inflammation in the period of intensifying in the bronkholegochnoy system.

ABSTRACT

Efficacy was studied of a new anti-inflammatory interferon-inducing drug preparation amizon in a combined therapy of epidemic parotiditis in 118 patients versus the group of comparison consisting of 147 patients. A positive effect was ascertained of the drug on clinical parameters, decrease in the incidence rate and in severity of complications (orchitis, pancreatitis), immune indices.

ABSTRACT

Results are submitted of clinical-and-laboratory examination of 528 children with viral hepatitides A and E. Comparative analysis has been performed of clinical manifestations of the disease, biochemical indices, and outcome. In concurrent infection caused by hepatitis A and E viruses, the pathologic process was shown to run a graver course.
