A conducted analysis of volume and cost of dental care provided in outpatient settings proves the need for harmonization of Russian Ministry of Health's documentation regulating dental checks in adults and children, and the Programme of state guarantees.

Studied the respondents' views on dental preventive care visits. 90.9% of dentists believe that a planned routine inspection should be carried out 2 times a year, this opinion is shared by 56.9% of healthcare leaders. More than 1/3 of the respondents (36.1 percent) reported that they don't remember when was the last time on routine inspection at the dentist. 71.9% of respondents believe that the examination of the dentists are quite easily to get. Opinions of patients are identical to the opinion of the professional community in the issue of the impact of preventive examinations to reduce the number of complaints of acute pain.
