[The possibilities for preventive diagnosis and nondrug treatment in drug allergy]. / Vozmozhnosti preventivnoi diagnostiki i nemedikamentoznogo lecheniia lekarstvennoi allergii.

The paper is dedicated to the matter of topical interest--that of diagnosing allergic reactions during the preclinical stage and of potentialities of clearing away adverse reactions to drugs without employment of medicinal agents. A characteristic feature of the paper is an original approach based on the authors' method. Reflected in the table are observations of the authors in respect of six entities versus analogous diagnosis without allergy and essentially healthy subjects--blood donors. The development of allergy is accompanied by a striking augmentation of CIC, which fact is to be considered in routine medical practice as a diagnostic criterion to be used together with the tests suggested by the authors.

[The use of mathematical modelling and prediction for assessing the efficacy of the treatment of periodontitis]. / Primenenie matematicheskogo modelirovaniia i prognozirovaniia dlia otsenki éffektivnosti lecheniia periodontita.

The statistical prediction and mathematical modelling techniques were applied to the analysis of the results of treatment of periodontitis. The afflicted focus cross-sectional area (as measured by X-ray film) was taken as a variable. A total of 40 patients were divided into 2 groups. Computer analysis allowed developing a mathematical model of the afflicted focus ossification under different therapeutical approaches.
