[X-ray diagnosis of Sivert-Kartagener's syndrome]. / Rentgenodiagnostika sindroma Ziverta-Kartagenera.

Clinico-roentgenological data of 11 patients with Sivert-Kartagener's syndrome are analysed. Five patients were operated on during childhood for chronic relapsing pulmonary pathology. The used roentgenological methods included x-ray of the thorax, bilateral bronchography, x-ray of the paranasal sinuses. Detailed roentgenological data on this syndrome are of major practical significance due to surgical methods of treatment of purulent bronchiectasia after preliminary sanation of the paranasal sinuses.

[Clinical aspects and diagnosis of tracheal compression stenosis in childhood]. / Klinika i diagnostika kompressionnogo stenoza trakhei v detskom vozraste.

Four stages of compression of the trachea were identified on the basis of the treatment of 18 patients. The regularity of the appearance of secondary and immediate signs was established. A phasic pattern of the development of stenosis was found to be characteristic of the acquired pathology, while congenital stenosis was characterized by a gradual growth of secondary changes in the broncho-pulmonary system. The principles of diagnosing the disease are described.
