ABSTRACT

(1) Background: Sleep is considered to be a complex condition for human beings, with the aim of ensuring physical and psychological recovery. Technology, including the cell phone, is a tool for teenagers that ensures they are always available to interact, even at night. This study aims to understand the influence of the use of smartphones on adolescent sleep quality. (2) Methods: The guidelines proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute were followed. The search was conducted in October 2022 through the EBSCOhost platform, with access to the CINAHL Complete and Medline databases and through the b-On database. (3) Results: The use of electronic equipment plays an important role in adolescents' lives. There is a negative relationship between the use of electronic equipment, such as smartphones, and sleep, for reducing both the quality and quantity of sleep. There is also a relationship between nighttime smartphone use, insufficient sleep, and mental health problems. (4) Conclusions: The use of new technologies at night causes a change in the behavior of adolescents with repercussions in terms of the quality of sleep and sleep duration and consequent well-being and performance during the day.

ABSTRACT

Objetivos: Identificar evidencias científicas primarias sobre los principales factores que interfieren en la prestación de cuidados de higiene bucal, desarrollados por enfermeros, a usuarios intubados orotraquealmente en unidades de cuidados intensivos. Método: Estudio de revisión sistemática de la literatura, desarrollado según el protocolo del Instituto Joanna Briggs. Para la obtención de los artículos se utilizaron los motores de búsqueda B-On y PubMed. Los términos utilizados en la búsqueda tuvieron en cuenta el vocabulario indexado a la base de datos Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), habiéndose estructurado según operadores booleanos, con la siguiente combinación, en inglés: “Oral Hygiene” AND “Pneumonia, Ventilator-Associated” OR “Pneumonia, Ventilator Associated” Y “Critical Care Nursing”. Se definieron como limitantes artículos publicados entre diciembre de 2017 y diciembre de 2020, en inglés, portugués y español, disponibles en su totalidad, publicados en revistas científicas revisadas por pares (peer review) y que se ajustan a la pregunta PICO desarrollada para el estudio. Resultados: Después de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se incluyeron en la revisión ocho artículos de carácter primario y cualitativo que abordan los factores que influyen en la prestación de cuidados de higiene bucal por parte de los enfermeros a pacientes sometidos a intubación orotraqueal. Conclusión: Las prácticas de cuidado de la higiene bucal brindadas a los usuarios en intubación orotraqueal, por parte de los enfermeros, son influenciadas por sus conocimientos, actitudes, recursos disponibles, capacitación y políticas institucionales, así como por factores relacionados al usuario que se relacionan principalmente con las dificultades de acceso a la cavidad oral. Aims: Identify factors that interfere in the provision of oral hygiene care, developed by nurses, to orotracheally intubated patients in intensive care units, on primary scientific evidence. Methods: A systematic literature review study, developed according to the Joanna Briggs Institute protocol. To obtain the articles, a search on B-On and PubMed was made. The terms used in the search took into account the vocabulary indexed to the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) database, having been structured according to Boolean operators, with the following combination in English: “Oral Hygiene” AND “Pneumonia, Ventilator-Associated” OR “Pneumonia, Ventilator Associated” AND “Critical Care Nursing”. Articles published between December 2017 and December 2020, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, available in full, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals (peer review) and which fit the PICO question developed for the study, were defined as limiting. Results: After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, eight articles of a primary and qualitative nature were included in the review that address the factors that influence the provision of oral hygiene care by nurses to patients undergoing orotracheal intubation. Conclusions: The oral hygiene care practices provided to users under orotracheal intubation, by nurses, are influenced by their knowledge, attitudes, available resources, training and institutional policies, as well as by factors related to the user that are mainly related to difficulties in access to the oral cavity. ABSTRACT

OBJETIVO: mapear as produções sobre tecnologias educacionais construídas para ensinar suporte básico de vida para adolescentes. MÉTODO: Protocolo de revisão de escopo conduzido a partir da metodologia do Joanna Briggs Institute. Os achados serão reportados utilizando a extensão do checklist Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. O protocolo está na Open Science Framework. A questão norteadora foi elaborada com base no mnemônico PCC: População (adolescentes), Conceito (tecnologias educacionais) e Contexto (suporte básico de vida). Serão utilizadas três bases via Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e quatro bases via Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. Dois revisores independentes selecionarão os artigos usando os programas EndNote® e Rayyan®, obedecendo critérios de elegibilidade. O Google Scholar e as referências dos estudos primários serão consultados como estratégias adicionais. Os resultados serão apresentados em quadros, fluxograma e discussão narrativa.


OBJECTIVE: to map the productions about educational technologies built to teach basic life support for adolescents. METHOD: Scope review protocol conducted based on the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. Findings will be reported using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews checklist extension. The protocol is in the Open Science Framework. The guiding question was elaborated based on the PCC acronym: Population (adolescents), Concept (educational technologies) and Context (basic life support). Three databases will be used via Virtual Health Library and four databases via the Journal Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. Two independent reviewers will select the articles using the EndNote® and Rayyan® programs, obeying eligibility criteria. Google Scholar and references from primary studies will be consulted as additional strategies. The results will be presented in tables, flowchart and narrative discussion.

ABSTRACT Objective: to map the educational technologies devised to teach Basic Life Support to adolescents. Method: a scoping review conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology and carried out between May and November 2022, in seven databases and Google Scholar, to answer the following question: "Which are the educational technologies devised/used about Basic Life Support for adolescents?". By means of inclusion/exclusion criteria, two independent reviewers selected the articles resorting to the EndNote® and Rayyan® software programs. Forms adapted from the Joanna Briggs Institute were used for data extraction and methodological analysis. The data were reported by means of the PRISMA-ScR checklist extension and the protocol of this study is published in: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/P87SV. Results: a total of 34 articles were selected, which were organized into six categories of educational technologies: 1) Audiovisual; 2) Computational; 3) Learning kits; 4) Mobile devices; 5) Printed material; and 6) Manufactured. This topic has appeared in publications since 1975, especially in medical journals, mainly by European and North American authors. The materials included were 16 experimental and 18 quasi-experimental trials, of varied methodological quality levels and predominantly conducted with High School students. Conclusion: the educational technologies mapped were as follows: videos, films, Digital Versatile Disc, images, music, audiovisual narratives, games, virtual reality/avatar, web courses, computational software, computer and smartphone apps, task cards and manikins (including manufactured ones). Although there are countless educational technologies on Basic Life Support for adolescents, they have not allowed achieving good levels of practical skills, mainly when they propose to teach ventilation to lay people.


RESUMEN Objetivo: mapear las tecnologías educativas elaboradas para enseñar Soporte Vital Básico a adolescentes. Método: revisión de alcance, realizada conforme a la metodología del Joanna Briggs Institute entre mayo y noviembre de 2022, en siete bases de datos y en Google Académico para responder la siguiente pregunta: "¿Cuáles son las tecnologías educativas elaboradas/utilizadas sobre Soporte Vital Básico dirigidas al público adolescente?". Mediante criterios de inclusión/exclusión, dos revisores independientes seleccionaron los artículos usando los programas EndNote® y Rayyan®. Se emplearon formularios adaptados del Joanna Briggs Institute para la extracción de datos y el análisis metodológico. Los datos se reportaron por medio de la extensión de la checklist PRISMA-ScR y el protocolo de este estudio está publicado en: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/P87SV. Resultados: se seleccionaron 34 artículos, que fueron organizados en seis categorías de tecnologías educativas, a saber: 1) Audiovisuales; 2) Informáticas; 3) Kits de aprendizaje; 4) Dispositivos móviles; 5) Materiales impresos; y 6) Fabricadas. Este tema ha sido objeto de publicaciones desde 1975, especialmente en revistas especializadas en Medicina, y principalmente con autores europeos y norteamericanos. Se incluyeron 16 ensayos experimentales y 18 cuasiexperimentales, de calidad metodológica variable y mayoritariamente realizados con estudiantes de nivel medio. Conclusión: las tecnologías educativas que se mapearon fueron las siguientes: videos, películas, Digital Versatile Disc, imágenes, música, narrativas audiovisuales, juegos, realidad virtual/avatar, cursos web, software de computación, apps para computadoras y smartphones, fichas de tareas y maniquíes (incluyendo los fabricados). Aunque se dispone de innumerables tecnologías educativas sobre Suporte Vital Básico para adolescentes, no ha permitido lograr buenos niveles de habilidades prácticas, principalmente cuando se proponen enseñar ventilación a personas comunes.

Embora haja inúmeras tecnologias educacionais sobre Suporte Básico de Vida para adolescentes, estas não têm proporcionado o alcance de bons níveis de habilidade práticas, principalmente quando se propõem a ensinar ventilação para leigos.

ABSTRACT

Resumo Objetivo Construir e validar uma história em quadrinhos para adolescentes sobre reanimação cardíaca. Métodos Estudo metodológico de abordagem quantitativa realizado em três fases: 1) revisão integrativa, 2) identificação das necessidades de aprendizagem (mediante inquérito transversal com 84 adolescentes) e 3) construção e validação de storyboard feito sob considerações da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa. A história obedeceu aos seis passos do quadrinista Mccloud, e foi validada por 23 juízes que julgaram os quadrinhos pelo Instrumento de Validação de Conteúdo Educacional em Saúde. Utilizou-se o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo e o Teste Binomial para verificar se a proporção de concordância foi, estatisticamente, igual ou superior a 80%. Resultados A revisão integrativa justificou ser necessária a construção de tecnologias educacionais sobre Suporte Básico de Vida. Os 84 adolescentes apontaram necessidade de aprendizagem sobre os três primeiros elos de atendimento a uma parada cardíaca. A tecnologia trouxe, na narrativa da personagem Dara, instruções para aplicar Suporte Básico de Vida somente com as mãos em vítimas de Parada Cardíaca. Na validação, 17 (dezessete) dos 18 (dezoito) itens avaliados receberam nota máxima, a avaliação global da tecnologia obteve o valor 0,99. Conclusão Os juízes consideraram válida a tecnologia educacional do tipo história em quadrinhos para ensinar reanimação cardiopulmonar.


Resumen Objetivo Elaborar y validar una historieta para adolescentes sobre reanimación cardíaca. Métodos Estudio metodológico de enfoque cuantitativo realizado en tres fases: 1) revisión integradora, 2) identificación de las necesidades de aprendizaje (mediante investigación transversal con 84 adolescentes) y 3) elaboración y validación del storyboard realizado de acuerdo con reflexiones sobre la teoría del aprendizaje significativo. La historia siguió los seis pasos del autor de historietas Mccloud y fue validada por 23 jueces, que evaluaron la historieta mediante el Instrumento de Validación de Contenido Educativo en Salud. Se utilizó el Índice de Validez de Contenido y la prueba binominal para verificar si la proporción de concordancia era estadísticamente igual o superior a 80 %. Resultados La revisión integradora justificó la necesidad de elaborar tecnologías educativas sobre soporte vital básico. Los 84 adolescentes señalaron la necesidad de aprender sobre los tres primeros eslabones en la atención a un paro cardíaco. La tecnología proporciona, mediante la narrativa del personaje Dara, instrucciones para aplicar el soporte vital básico solo con las manos en víctimas de paro cardíaco. En la validación, 17 (diecisiete) de los 18 (dieciocho) ítems evaluados recibieron nota máxima, la evaluación global de la tecnología obtuvo el valor de 0,99. Conclusión Los jueces consideraron válida la tecnología educativa tipo historieta para enseñar reanimación cardiopulmonar.


Abstract Objective To construct and validate a comic book for adolescents about cardiac resuscitation. Methods This is a methodological study with a quantitative approach carried out in three phases: 1) integrative review; 2) identification of learning needs (through a cross-sectional survey with 84 adolescents); and 3) construction and validity of storyboard made under considerations of the Theory of Meaningful Learning. The story obeyed the six steps of comic artist Mccloud, and was validated by 23 judges who judged the comic book using the Educational Content Validation Instrument in Health. The Content Validity Index and the binomial test were used to verify whether the proportion of agreement was statistically equal to or greater than 80%. Results The integrative review justified the need to construct educational technologies on Basic Life Support. The 84 adolescents indicated the need to learn about the first three links of care in a cardiac arrest. The technology brought, in the narrative of character Dara, instructions to apply Basic Life Support only with the hands in victims of cardiac arrest. In validity, 17 (seventeen) of the 18 (eighteen) items assessed received the maximum score, and the overall assessment of the technology obtained a value of 0.99. Conclusion The judges considered the comic book type educational technology valid for teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: analisar o pensamento crítico desenvolvido pelos estudantes participantes de um componente curricular do curso de graduação em enfermagem. Método: estudo de natureza qualitativa, observacional e comparativa, antes e após a intervenção. Foi aplicado questionário sociodemográfico e texto-estímulo em dois momentos. A amostra foi constituída por 48 estudantes que frequentaram a unidade curricular de Pensamento Crítico em Enfermagem. Resultados: no primeiro momento, os estudantes reconheceram o pensamento crítico como importante na tomada de decisão e no desenvolvimento de competências, educar para pensar. No segundo momento, os comentários indicaram um papel ativo da escola, e a informação e o conhecimento do estudante são acurados no contexto formativo. Considerações finais: no pensamento crítico desenvolvido pelos estudantes participantes do componente curricular do curso de enfermagem constatou-se alteração significativa no léxico dos dois momentos, houve desenvolvimento de habilidades de pensamento crítico, das quais destacamos a interpretação, a argumentação, a análise e avaliação.


Objetivo: analizar el pensamiento crítico desarrollado por estudiantes que participan en un componente curricular de la carrera de licenciatura en enfermería. Método: estudio cualitativo, observacional y comparativo, antes y después de la intervención. Se aplicó un cuestionario sociodemográfico y un "texto estímulo" en dos momentos. La muestra estuvo constituída por 48 estudiantes que cursaron la unidad curricualar de Pensamiento Crítico en Enfermería. Resultados: en un primer momento, los estudiantes reconocieron el pensamiento crítico como importante en la toma de decisiones y en el desarrollo de habilidades, educar para pensar. En un segundo momento, los comentarios indicaron un papel activo de la escuela, y la información y los conocimientos del alumno son precisos en el contexto formativo. Consideraciones finales: en el pensamiento crítico desarrollado por los estudiantes que participaron en el componente curricular de la carrera de enfermería, hubo un cambio significativo en el léxico de los dos momentos, hubo un desarrollo de habilidades de pensamiento crítico, de las cuales se destacan la interpretación, argumentación, análisis y evaluación.


Objective: To analyse the critical thinking developed by students participating in a curricular component of undergraduate nursing programmes. Method: Qualitative, observational and comparative study before and after the intervention. A sociodemographic questionnaire and text stimulus were applied in two phases. The sample consisted of 48 students enrolled in the Critical Thinking In Nursing course. Results: In the first phase, the students recognized critical thinking as important in decision-making, in the development of skills and in the process of educating them to think. In the second phase, the comments indicated an active role of the school, and the knowledge of students improved in the formative context. Final considerations: In the critical thinking developed by the students who participated in the curricular component of the nursing programme, a significant change was found in the lexicon in both phases, and critical thinking skills were developed, in particular interpretation, argumentation, analysis, and evaluation.

ABSTRACT

RESUMO Objetivo: conhecer a opinião dos enfermeiros sobre a transição de cuidados na mudança de turno no serviço de emergência e perceber os seus conhecimentos acerca da temática da segurança do paciente. Método: estudo quantitativo, descritivo, transversal, realizado em janeiro de 2019, num serviço de emergência, de um hospital na área metropolitana de Lisboa, Portugal. Amostra não probabilística de conveniência com 50 enfermeiros. A análise dos dados recorreu à estatística descritiva e inferencial, com o teste de Mann-Whitney. Resultados: a informação transmitida é atualizada (80%); existe ruído que interfere na transmissão de cuidados (84%); a avaliação do paciente na transição de cuidados é benéfica (84%). 50% conhece as metas internacionais para a segurança do paciente; 84% concorda que a metodologia ISBAR contribui para a segurança do paciente. Conclusión: evidencia-se a formação dos profissionais e a utilização de instrumento padronizado como estratégias fundamentais para a segurança do paciente na transição de cuidados.


ABSTRACT Objective: to identify nurses' opinions about the transition of care at shift change in the emergency department and understand their knowledge about patient safety. Method: quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study, conducted in January 2019, in an emergency department of a hospital in the metropolitan area of Lisbon, Portugal. Non-probability convenience sample with 50 nurses. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics, with the Mann-Whitney test. Results: information transmitted is updated (80%); there is noise that interferes with the transmission of care (84%); patient assessment in the transition of care is beneficial (84%). 50% know the international goals for patient safety; 84% agree that the ISBAR methodology contributes to patient safety. Conclusion: it is evident the formation of professionals and the use of standardized instruments as fundamental strategies for patient safety in the transition of care.


RESUMEN Objetivo: conocer la opinión de los enfermeros sobre la transición de la atención en el cambio de turno en el servicio de emergencia y percibir sus conocimientos sobre el tema de la seguridad del paciente. Método: estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, transversal, realizado en enero de 2019, en un servicio de urgencias, de un hospital del área metropolitana de Lisboa, Portugal. Muestra no probabilística de conveniencia con 50 enfermeras. En el análisis de los datos se utilizaron estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales, con la prueba de Mann-Whitney. Resultados: la información transmitida está actualizada (80%); hay ruido que interfiere en la transmisión de la atención (84%); la evaluación del paciente en la transición de la atención es benéfica (84%). El 50% conoce los objetivos internacionales de seguridad del paciente; el 84% está de acuerdo en que la metodología ISBAR contribuye a la seguridad del paciente. Conclusão: se evidencia la formación de los profesionales y el uso del instrumento estandarizado como estrategias fundamentales para la seguridad del paciente en la transición de la attención.

ABSTRACT

Patient-centered care is essential in high-quality health care, as it leads to beneficial outcomes for patients. The objective of this review is to systematize indicators for the care of patients with cardiometabolic diseases based on patient-centered care, extending from the stages of diagnostic evaluation and care planning to intervention. An integrative literature review was conducted by searching seven scientific databases, and a narrative analysis was performed. A total of 15 articles were included, and indicators related to diagnosis and care planning/intervention were extracted. In the planning of care centered on the person with cardiometabolic diseases, the individuality, dynamics of the processes, flexibility and the participation of all stakeholders should be taken into account. The needs of the person must be addressed through the identification of problems; establishment of individual goals; shared decision making; information and education; systematic feedback; case management; meeting the patient's preferences and satisfaction with care; engagement of the family; and therapeutic management. The indicators for intervention planning extracted were behavioral interventions, therapeutic management programs, lifestyle promotion, shared decision making, education patient and information, interventions with the use of technology, promotion of self-management, program using technology, therapeutic relationship, therapeutic adherence programs and specialized intervention.

ABSTRACT

People have specific and unique individual and contextual characteristics, so healthcare should increasingly opt for person-centered care models. Thus, this review aimed to identify and synthesize the indicators for the care process of the person with depression and/or anxiety disorders, based on patient-centered care, going through the stages of diagnostic assessment and care planning, including intervention. An integrative literature review with research in seven scientific databases and a narrative analysis were carried out. Twenty articles were included, with indicators for diagnostic evaluation and care/intervention planning being extracted. Care planning focused on people with depression and/or anxiety disorder must be individualized, dynamic, flexible, andparticipatory. It must respond to the specific needs of the person, contemplating the identification of problems, the establishment of individual objectives, shared decision making, information and education, systematic feedback, and case management, and it should meet the patient's preferences and satisfaction with care and involve the family and therapeutic management in care. The existence of comorbidities reinforces the importance of flexible and individualized care planning in order to respond to the specific health conditions of each person.

Introduction: Depression and anxiety are mental diseases found worldwide, with the tendency to worsen in the current pandemic period. These illnesses contribute the most to the world's rate of years lived with disability. We aim to identify and synthesize indicators for the care process of the person with depression and/or anxiety disorders, based on patient-centered care, going through the stages of diagnostic assessment, care planning, and intervention. Methods and analysis: An integrative literature review will be conducted, and the research carried out on the following databases: MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Scopus, and Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, CINAHL, Web of Science, TrialRegistry, and MedicLatina. The research strategy contains the following terms MesH or similar: "patient-centered care," "depression," and "anxiety." Two independent revisers will perform the inclusion and exclusion criteria analysis, the quality analysis of the data, and its extraction for synthesis. Disagreements will be resolved by a third revisor. All studies related to diagnostic assessment, care planning, or intervention strategies will be included as long as they focus on care focused on people with depression and anxiety, regardless of the context. Given the plurality of the eligible studies, we used the narrative synthesis method for the analysis of the diagnostic assessment, the care and intervention planning, and the facilitators and barriers. ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The aging population and its associated health needs require specific nursing care. The aim of this study was to draw an epidemiological profile of Portuguese elderly adults attending in residential homes and day centers and to evaluate the association between the functioning and cognition of these older adults and their sociodemographic characteristics and presence of multimorbidity. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study of 613 older adults. Functioning was assessed using the Elderly Nursing Core Set, and cognition was assessed using the Mini Mental State Examination. Descriptive and inferential analyses were performed. RESULTS: The mean age was 85.73 years; the majority of the participants were female (69.3 %), widowed (67.0 %) and over 85 years old (60.4 %). A total of 68.2 % of the sample presented multimorbidity. A total of 54.5 % had cognitive impairment, and the average functional profile was classified as "moderate difficulty". Institutionalized older adults had more diseases than those who attended the day center. Women, those who were illiterate, those who were institutionalized and older adults who had diseases of the nervous system had a worse functional profile and greater cognitive impairment. Those with multimorbidity had a worse functional profile, and those without a spouse had greater cognitive impairment. CONCLUSIONS: Given the functional and cognitive profile of older adults, it is necessary to adopt care practices focused on the rehabilitation/maintenance of self-care and affective relationships. This care must be provided by highly qualified professionals. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the ratio of nurses per older adult in these institutions.

Objetivo: analisar a produção científica internacional sobre o Zika vírus e a gravidez. Métodos: pesquisa bibliométrica realizada na base de dados ISI Web of Knowledge/Web of Science, com os termos de busca "Pregnancy", "ZikV" e "Bibliometrics, efetuada a partir da exportação destes dados para o software de análise bibliométrica HistCite™. Resultados: foram identificados 355 registros de publicação e selecionados os 11 artigos mais citados na Web of Science (global) e aqueles mais citados no conjunto de artigos selecionados (local), em 207 periódicos distintos indexados à base de dados em questão, escritos por 2.435 autores que possuíam vínculos com 799 instituições, localizadas em 59 países. Conclusão: persistem aspectos obscuros sobre a história natural do Zika vírus em gestantes, o perfil clínico, a epidemiologia, e falta clareza sobre a existência de cofatores associados à infecção pelo Zika vírus. OBJECTIVE: The social representations of lifestyles construed by family members and patients diagnosed with myocardial infarction. METHOD: Exploratory qualitative study supported by the theory of social representations, with 70 patients and 70 family members of two Portuguese hospitals, one on the coast and one inland from January to June 2015. Structural analysis was performed using two questionnaires relying on the technique called Free Association of Words. RESULTS: The evocations of patients and family members indicated weak convergence between the two groups in representing Lifestyle, yet showed the existence of knowledge that enhances a healthy lifestyle. CONCLUSIONS: The categories Eat and Change were a consensus among the groups. For patients and family members, it was consensual that a poor diet is a harmful lifestyle for health. It was also clear that change is fundamental. Such an assumption makes room for the intervention of health professionals.

RESUMO Objetivo Analisar as representações sociais de estilos de vida construídas por familiares e doentes com diagnóstico de infarto do miocárdio. Método Estudo exploratório e qualitativo sustentado na teoria das representações sociais, com 70 doentes e 70 familiares, de dois hospitais portugueses, um no litoral outro no interior do país, de janeiro a junho de 2015. Foi realizada análise estrutural, com o uso de dois questionários, recorrendo à técnica de Associação Livre de Palavras. Resultados As evocações dos doentes e dos familiares indicaram fraca convergência entre os dois grupos na representação de Estilo de Vida, contudo mostraram a existência de conhecimentos potenciadores de um estilo de vida saudável. Conclusões As categorias Comer e Mudança assumiram consensualidade nos grupos. Para doentes e familiares foi consensual que uma alimentação pouco cuidada representa um estilo de vida prejudicial para a saúde. Ficou também claro que a mudança é fundamental. Tal assunção abre espaço à intervenção dos profissionais de saúde.

Se llevó a cabo el análisis estructural, para eso se utilizaron dos cuestionarios y la técnica de asociación libre de palabras. Resultados Evocaciones de los pacientes y familiares indican débil convergencia entre los dos grupos en representación de Estilos de vida, sin embargo, muestran la existencia de mejorar el conocimiento de un estilo de vida saludable. Conclusión Las categorías de la Alimentación y del Cambio tienen una clara consensualidad en ambos grupos. Para los pacientes y sus familiares existe un consenso de que una dieta poco cuidadosa es un estilo de vida perjudicial para la salud. También está claro que el cambio es fundamental. Esta premisa deja espacio para la intervención de profesionales de la salud.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to identify elders' social representations of quality of life. This is an exploratory study with a sample of 240 elders, of both sexes. For data collection we used a Free Association Test with Words, using the inductive stimulus 'quality of life" and sociodemographic variables. The interviews were analyzed with the software Alceste. Of the 240 studied eslders, 167 were women, with the dominant age from 60 to 69 years, income between two and three minimum wages, most of the married and with catholicism as the predominant religion. The results from Alceste pointed towards seven hierarchical classes: accessibility, work, activity, support affection, care and interactions. Social representations of quality of life by elders can support professionals in understanding the adhesion to preventive practices for the elderly and in strengthening policies directed to this population.

O objetivo do estudo foi identificar as representações sociais sobre qualidade de vida construídas por idosos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória com uma amostra de 240 idosos, de ambos os sexos. Para coleta de dados utilizou-se o Teste da Associação Livre de Palavras utilizando o estímulo indutor "qualidade de vida" e as variáveis sociodemográficas. As entrevistas foram analisadas com o apoio do software Alceste. Dos 240 idosos estudados, 167 eram do sexo feminino, a faixa etária dominante foi de 60 a 69 anos, renda entre dois e três salários, maioria casado e a religião predominante a católica. Os resultados do Alceste apontam sete classes hierárquicas, foram representados por: acessibilidade, trabalho, atividade, apoio, afetividade, cuidado e interações. Considera-se que as representações sociais dos idosos sobre qualidade de vida possam subsidiar os profissionais na compreensão da adesão de práticas preventivas para os idosos e no fortalecimento da consolidação da política dirigida a esse grupo populacional.


El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar las representaciones sociales de la calidad de vida, construido para los ancianos. Este es un estudio exploratorio con una muestra de 240 ancianos de ambos sexos. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el Test de Asociación Libre de Palabras con la calidad del estímulo inductivo "de la vida" y las variables sociodemográficas. Los datos fueron analizados con la ayuda de software Alceste. De las 240 estudiadas 167 mujeres de edad avanzada, el rango de edad predominante fue de 60 a 69 años, los ingresos entre dos y tres salarios mínimos, casadas y de religión predominante la católica. Los resultados de Alceste punto siete clases jerárquica estuvieron representados por: la accesibilidad, el trabajo, la actividad, el apoyo, el afecto, la atención y las interacciones. Se considera que las representaciones sociales de la calidad de vida de los ancianos pueden apoyar a los profesionales en la comprensión de la adhesión de las prácticas preventivas de la política y el fortalecimiento de los ancianos dirigidos a este grupo poblacional.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: apreender as representações sociais de relação e confiança e explorar as suas dimensões, elaboradas por familiares de doentes cardíacos de uma unidade de cardiologia de um hospital Português. Metodologia: estudo exploratório, realizado a 48 familiares. Recolha dos dados feita no espaço temporal de um mês, utilizando questionário, com questões sócio-demográficas e dois estímulos indutores. Foi utilizada a técnica da associação livre de palavras. Foram cumpridos os procedimentos éticos e legais, em conformidade com a Declaração de Helsinki de Ética em Pesquisa Envolvendo Seres Humanos. Os dados foram categorizados recorrendo ao Microsoft Office Word e processados nos softwares Evoc e SIMI, forneceram a estrutura das representações sociais e a força da relação entre elementos. Resultados: predominância de familiares do sexo feminino, grau de parentesco filhos e esposas. Núcleo central de relação constituído por, tratar bem, profissionalismo e informação. Núcleo central de confiança constituído por enfermeiros, médicos e cuidar. Conclusão: a relação para ser eficaz, necessita que os profissionais de saúde cuidem bem a família/doente, com profissionalismo tendo a informação como base. Quem mais contribuiu para um dos principais alicerces da relação, a confiança, foram os enfermeiros e os médicos com a arte de cuidar.(AU)


Objective: to realize the social representations of relationships and trust and explore their dimensions, elaborated by heart patient relatives from a cardiology unit from a Portuguese hospital. Methodology: this is about an exploratory study, taken from 48 (forty-eight) relatives. Data were collected during a month time, through a survey, with sociodemographic questions and two inducing factors. The free association of words technique was used. The ethical and legal proceedings were upheld, in agreement with the Helsinki ethics declaration in research involving human beings. The data analysis was performed using the Microsoft Office Word and processed using Evoc and SIMI, and provided the structure of social representations and the strength between elements. Results: female gender relatives are predominant, the proximity of relatives is: sons (daughters); and wives. The relationship core is constituted by, providing good care, professionalism, and information. The trust core is constituted by, nurses, medical doctors, and care. Conclusion: for the effectiveness of the relationship to be real, there's the need for a good care to be provided by the health care professionals to the patient/family, with professionalism always on sight, and with information as a knowledge base. The ones who contributed the most for the main health care foundation, trust, were the nurses and the medical doctors with the art of taking care.(AU)

Metodología: un estudio exploratorio, realizado en 48 familias. La recogida de datos realizada en el lapso de un mes, mediante cuestionario con preguntas sociodemográficas y dos estímulos inductores. Se utilizó la técnica de asociación libre de palabras. Ha cumplido con los procedimientos éticos y legales de conformidad con la Declaración de Helsinki sobre la Ética en la Investigación en Seres Humanos. Los datos fueron categorizados utilizando el Microsoft Office Word y procesados en el software Evoc y SIMI, proporcionar el marco de las representaciones sociales y la fuerza de la relación entre los elementos. Resultados: la mayoría es mujeres, niños y esposas. Núcleo centrales de la relacione formado por, manejar bien, profesionalismo y información. Núcleo centrales de la confianza construida por los enfermeros, los médicos y la atención. Conclusión: la relación sea efectiva, requiere que los profesionales de la salud traten bien la familia/paciente a la con profesionalismo y la base de información. Quién más ha contribuido a una importante fundación de respeto, confianza, fueron las enfermeros y los médicos con el arte de la atención.(AU)

Conhecer as representações sociais sobre tecnologias assistivas construídas por profissionais de saúde que atendem em Unidades Básicas de Saúde e Centros de Atendimento aos Idosos. Método: Trata-se de um estudo exploratório realizado com 245 profissionais de ambos os sexos. Os dados foram obtidos através de uma entrevista semiestruturada e a análise foi realizada com o auxilio do software Alceste: 2010. Resultados: Os resultados apontaram sete classes ou categorias: funcionalidade, mobilidade, visão positiva, inclusão social, tipos de apoio, qualificação profissional e tipos de tecnologias assistivas. Conclusão: Os profissionais representam as tecnologias assistivas centradas em dimensões psicossociológicas com conteúdos positivos e negativos importantes para divulgação e desenvolvimento de estratégias para melhoria da qualidade de vida dos idosos.

Conclusión:Los profesionales representan a tecnologías asistivas centrados en las dimensiones psicosociales con contenidos positivos y negativos importantes para la difusión y el desarrollo de estrategias para mejorar la calidad de vida de los ancianos.


Knowing the social representations of assistive technologies constructed by health professionals who attend in Basic Health Units and Service Centers for the Elderly. Method: This is an exploratory study with 245 professionals of both sexes. Data were collected through a semistructured interview and was conducted with the help of the software Alceste: 2010. Results: The results indicated seven classes or categories: functionality, mobility, positive vision, social inclusion, types of support, professional qualifications and types of assistive technologies. Conclusion: Professionals representing assistive technologies focusing on psychosociological dimensions with positive and negative aspects important for the propagation and developing strategies to improving the quality life of the elders.
