ABSTRACT

The main objective of the study was to analyze the relationship between support for the autonomy of coaches, teammates, parents, implicit ability beliefs and goals achievement 2 x 2 of a group of female basketball players. The sample consisted of 57 basketball players from the quarry of a basketball team of Huelva. These players were between 10 and 17 years (M = 13.02, SD = 1.90). The climate of support for the autonomy of the coach, the companions of parents perceived by the players, the implicit beliefs of skill and achievement goals 2x2 was measured. The results of linear regression analysis show that the climate of autonomy support generated by the coach predicts the performance approach goal and incremental skill. In turn, the ability predicts incremental approach goals and avoidance to mastery. Tis highlights the importance of creating climates support the autonomy of basketball players during their training, as they adopt more adaptive goals achievement (AU)

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: We use the biopsychosocial model of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF): a) to analyze functioning and disability patterns in unipolar depression cases attended in primary care settings; b) to study predictive and mediator variables related to disability in depression, and c) to determine the impact of traditional interventions in depression cases using functional remission as outcome measure. DESIGN: Naturalistic, prospective, longitudinal. SETTING: Multicenter study in primary care. Health Area 2. Region of Madrid. PARTICIPANTS: Adult patients with a diagnosis of unipolar depression who initiate psychopharmacological treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) in primary care sites. Patients with history of bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, dementias, and dependence of toxic substances will be excluded. MAIN MEASUREMENTS: Level of functioning and disability in different domains of well-being assessed through ICF related instruments. Stressful life events, social support and cognitive schemes will be analyzed as mediator variables. Socio-demographic and clinical characteristics, psychopharmacological treatment and treatment compliance are considered independent factors. DISCUSSION AND PRACTICAL USE: Selection bias may affect the generalization of the results. The biopsychosocial model underlying the ICF and its methodology are applied to the study of depression in primary care settings for the first time in Spain. Improving our understanding of disability related factors in depressive patients is expected. This study is one of the main research priorities of the EU (MHADIE project).

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

The effect of co-inoculation with Pisolithus tinctorius and a PGPR belonging to the genus Bacillus (Bacillus licheniformis CECT 5106 and Bacillus pumilus CECT 5105) in enhancing growth of Pinus pinea plants and the changes that occurred in rhizosphere microbial communities and the degree of mycorrhization were evaluated. Both bacterial strains of Bacillus promote the growth of Pinus pinea seedlings, but this biological effect does not imply a synergic effect with mycorrhizal infection. However, the positive response to mycorrhiza in a longer-term experiment it could be expected. The introduction of both inocula causes an alteration in the microbial rhizosphere composition, despite the low levels of inocula that were found at the end of the assay.

ABSTRACT

We address the problem of the classical deterministic dynamics of a particle in a periodic asymmetric potential of the ratchet type. We take into account the inertial term in order to understand the role of the chaotic dynamics in the transport properties. By a comparison between the bifurcation diagram and the current, we identify the origin of the current reversal as a bifurcation from a chaotic to a periodic regime. Close to this bifurcation, we observed trajectories revealing intermittent chaos and anomalous deterministic diffusion.
