ABSTRACT

The study of microvasculature in bioptic specimens of gastric mucosa and of conjunctival microcirculation from 254 patients with chronic gastritis revealed that exacerbation of the disease proceeds with severe disorders of terminal blood flow which are typical for the chronic relapse trombohemorrhagic syndrome and have generalized character. The microvascular disorders is manifested by plasma- and hemorrhages, by microvascular spasm and dilatation, intravascular hemostasis and microthrombosis. These manifestations were more expressed over the period of bright marked exacerbation of the disease and in patients with erosive affection of gastric mucosa.

ABSTRACT

Functional and structural changes in the stomach, vegetative tone, microcirculation, histamine metabolism were studied in 136 male alcoholics. The results allowed the authors to distinguish clinico-pathogenetic variants of chronic alcoholic gastritis which can be used for objective evaluation of the disease severity and serve basis for design of adequate therapy at different stages of the disease progression.

ABSTRACT

As many as 148 patients were examined to demonstrate that chronic gastritis (CG) runs its course in the presence of marked changes in microcirculation and hemostasis which go into the framework of the chronic recurrent thrombohemorrhagic syndrome. The manifestations of the latter one were more appreciable in a dramatic exacerbation of the disease, erosive gastritis, diffuse atrophy of the mucous membrane and secretory insufficiency of the stomach, and disease standing over 10 years. The disorders indicated are involved into the pathogenesis of CG and promote the development of morphofunctional alterations in the gastric mucosa.

ABSTRACT

Studies on 74 patients with chronic gastritis showed that the disease was accompanied by disorders of the microcirculatory bed of the bulbar conjunctiva characterized by the appearance of perivascular edema, inhomogeneity of the vascular caliber and coiling, change of arteriolovenular ratios, the formation of vascular glomerules, neglected zones, intravascular aggregation of erythrocytes and microthromboses. These changes were combined with disorders of the end blood flow of the gastric mucosa detected in its specimens. A degree of the above disorders depended on the expression of exacerbation and period of disease, peculiarities of lesion of the gastric mucosa, secretory and motor functions of the stomach.

ABSTRACT

The content of glycogen, histological and histochemical changes in the liver, the quantity of sugar in the blood were studied in the liver and blood serum of dogs subjected to operation of exclusion of part of the small intestine (30%, 60%). The decreased concentration of glycogen and sugar of blood was found. Depending on the volume of exclusion of the intestine, there appear changes in the hepatocyte nuclei volume influencing the cell metabolism.
