ABSTRACT

The method of determination of acrylamide in various food (milk powder, potato chips, instant coffee) by gas-liquid chromatography after pre-bromination was developed. Studies have shown the possibility of using bromination of acrylamide to give it the necessary properties for better extraction, purification and detection. Also revealed the possibility of qualitative and quantitative determine a acrylamide in food by gas-liquid chromatography with detection by electron capture detector.

ABSTRACT

The simplifyed method of simultaneous determination of the citrinin (CT) and ochratoxin A (OTA) in cereals is described. The extraction of mycotoxins was carried out by small volumes of solvents (water/aceton/hexane) without additional sample clean up and concentration. The extracts were analysed by HPLC using mixture of methanol/ethylacetate/phosphoric acid, pH 2.2 as a mobile phase and fluorescence detection (lamda ex 330 nm, lamda em 495 nm). The reliability and reproducibility of results were improved by usage of internal standard--methyl-derivative of ochratoxin A. Average recovery of CT and OTA was 70%, relative standard deviation 12% and 7%, respectively, limit of detection 0.003 mg/kg.

ABSTRACT

A study of 425 patients demonstrated that a pyodestructive process, located anywhere, affects platelet functional properties, resulting in the first place, in disorders of spontaneous cell disaggregation. Impaired platelet functional properties are conducive to the development of postoperative purulent and thromboembolic complications.

ABSTRACT

The technique of microelectrophoresis was used to measure the rate of E. coli cell motility under the action of a constant electric field, and the electrokinetic potential (xi-potential) was calculated from the experimental data. As was shown by analysing the results for a sample from 100 cells, the property varied within a wide range which exceeded several times the error of a single measurement. This variation was associated with the different electrosurface properties of microbial cell groups and is characteristic of a cell population. The empirical distribution of the parameter was shown to be consistent with the normal law. The results of determining the electrokinetic potential may statistically be processed with a computer, and the profile of an experimental curve will characterize the physico-chemical state of cells.

ABSTRACT

The influence of interlok, biotop and remantadine on the functional activity of monocytes was determined with the use of the NBT test permitting the quantitative evaluation of this characteristic. In this study interlok was found to give promising results in the treatment of acute viral hepatitis, due both to its antiviral action and to the stimulation of the functional activity of monocytes. biotop proved to render a sharply pronounced stimulating effect on the functional activity of monocytes, thus enhancing antiviral resistance. Remantadine suppressed the functional activity of monocytes and increased their lesion by the virus, thus creating favorable conditions for virus persistence in monocytes.
