ABSTRACT

The authors researched the air-stuff and complex of adverse factors uncharacteristic for the air-staff of land-based aircraft. It was determined that adverse factors affect the air-staff foremost in 4-5 months of a blue-water sailing, except cardiovascular system diseases. In a month of a blue-water sailing was registered a hypotonic state. Systolic blood pressure varied from 100-105 mm Hg and lower, dystolic blood pressure varied from 60-65 mm Hg and lower. The lowest ranges of blood pressure were registered in three months after the beginning of the sailing. In the following, the hypotonic state, registered during the monthly medical examinations, remained till the end of the sailing. Normal averages of blood pressure were restored in two weeks after the end of sailing. Low red cell count (for more than 1100 points) was registered in 61.5% of patients, (for more than 550 points) in 38.4% of patients. Low white cell count (for more than 4800 points) was registered in 33.3% of patients, (for more than 3300 points) in 41% of patients, (for more than 1330 points) in 25% of patients. Input data was: red cell count--4250 points, white cell count--7300 points in 1 ml of blood. After the sailing haematological indices were restored. The authors suggested guidelines for primary and secondary disease prevention.

ABSTRACT

The authors have shown that the most difficult elements of the flight deck of the ship are springboard takeoff and aerofinishing landing. An important task is to study the aerodynamic characteristics of the behavior of the aircraft during takeoff different characteristics, forming crews ready to act in particular situations. Adverse factors are the operating conditions of habitability of aircraft (noise, vibration, fumes in the air at work, and aircraft engines, etc.) that have a significant impact on the life of air crew and engineering staff. It is concluded that the development and use of effective means of protecting the organism from the effect of these factors is a priority for specialists in aviation medicine.

ABSTRACT

Were learned peculiarities of spatial orientation by altitude of pilots and students in conditions of flying over a sea and on link trainer Yak-40, were educed psychophysiological and psychological mechanisms of perception of altitude. Was effectuated a valuation of existing and possible methods of teaching of effective orientation in air. Was shown, that pilots with different professional rate make faults as well in visual flying as visual detecting of the altitude. Were made conclusions about necessity of creation of methods of teaching of effective spatial orientation on the base of altitude, creation of procedure simulator with using of computer technologies for teaching not only students, but flying staff also.

ABSTRACT

An anonymous questionnaire was filled out by 126 pilots and navigators. The goals of this study were to disclose their "hard" mental states (subjective discomfort) and concrete factors that influenced upon psychosomatic and moral status during long cruise. The article gives the analysis of professional, psychological and welfare factors which may originate these states. The authors gained data which substantiated the prophylactic ways against unfavourable mental states in long cruise.

ABSTRACT

An autopsy case is described of a primary hemochromatosis in a 33-year-old man which was not diagnosed clinically. The peculiar feature of the disease was the absence of skin discolorations, definite symptoms of diabetes mellitus and a hepatic cirrhosis against the background of pigment cardiomyopathy. It's suggested that the progression of the heart pathology was due to the use of certain antibacterial preparations.
