El autor ante la gran capacidaddel ser humano para salvar vidas mediante lamaravillosa disciplina que es la cirugía realiza una reseña, que se divide en dos partes, trata de sacar ala luz cuáles fueron las civilizaciones que se dedicaron ala cirugía hasta llegar a la Edad Moderna.
