ABSTRACT

This methodological work is the first part of series of papers dedicated to the modern perspective method of non-invasive diagnostics in cardiology--magnetocardiography. Definition of magnetocardiography method is given, levels of magnetocardiography data analysis as well as electrophysiological models are described. The most informative biomarkers and technologies of qualitative and quantitative interpretation of current density distribution maps and curves of total current magnitude are presented. The step-by-step algorithm, which was used for the MCG-data analysis, is proposed.

ABSTRACT

The article presents results on the study on the state of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and a metabolic syndrome (MC), verified according to criteria NCEP ATP III (2001) in the presence of insulin resistance confirmed by HOMA-IR index Metabolic disorders were revealed both in patients with AH, and in patients with MC. These disorders have the unidirectional character and differ not qualitatively but quantitatively and according to the correlation and dispersive analysess, in many respects are defined by concomitant diseases of the digestive tract, hepatobiliary system, pancreas and nephropathy which is typical for patients with II stage AH.

ABSTRACT

178 patients with metabolic syndrome, 92 patients with II stage hypertonic disease and 47 patients with chronic Ischemic heart disease have been observed. Intracardiac hemodynamics has been estimated using ultrasound apparatus LOGIC-500 "General Electric". The obtained data confirmed structural-geometrical and functional state of left ventricle in patients with metabolic syndrome to have some peculiarities which can not be explained only by intracardiac hemodynamics of patients with hypertonic and ischemic heart disease. Special mechanisms of regulation of left ventricle and formation of its functional disorders have been shown to exist in patients with metabolic syndrome.

ABSTRACT

An analysis is submitted of prospective indices for the left ventricular pump function in patients with acute myocardial infarction presenting with Q wave during the first 10 days of the illness and in a nine-to-twelve months' time. The findings obtained suggested relatedness of impaired systolic function of the left ventricle in these patients to the degree of acute cardiac insufficiency. There have been identified three types of systolic dysfunction in the above patients. The initial systolic dysfunction was characterized by a drop in the stroke index (SI) down to 35 ml/m2 and in the systolic index (STI) as low as 2.4 l/min/m2; moderately severe dysfunction was manifested by SI reduction in the range of 30-35 ml/m2, STI--over the range 2.2 to 2.4 l/min/m2; severe dysfunction was with SI below 30 ml/m2, STI less than 2.2 l/min/m2. Different mechanisms are shown of acute cardiac insufficiency compensation in the above-named types of dysfunction together with their prognostic significance in early postinfarction period.

ABSTRACT

The authors studied the effect of intracardiac irradiation of blood with a low intensity Helium-Neon laser on the pumping function of left ventricle in 73 patients with progressive angina pectoris. 47 patients underwent a course of laser hemotherapy while being given medicamentous therapy, the remaining 26 received nitrates, calcium antagonists and analgesics. Employment of laser light irradiation was associated with more satisfactory clinical effect than that in patients who had not had the procedure. It has also been established that intracardiac laser light irradiation of blood makes for the improvement of the characteristics of the intracardiac haemodynamics by diminishing the volumes and augmenting the left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction. Beneficial effect of laser hemotherapy on the intracardiac haemodynamics characteristics results from the stabilizing influence the method exerts on LV regional contractility and appear to be associated with its anti-ischemic effect.

ABSTRACT

It was established that most patients with non-Hodgkin malignant lymphomas against the background of secondary immunodeficiency show an activation of the saprophytic bacterial and mycotic flora that results in the development of different infectious complications essentially, thus, influencing the course and prognosis of the disease. A dependence was established between the malignancy grade of non-Hodgkins lymphomas and frequency of development of non-infectious complications.
