ABSTRACT

A complex of equipment for computer technology training is described. Its three main blocks are technological (Server, Smart), automated working place (AWP) for head physician (tutor), and AWP for a dentist. The complex works in the Power-Line and Ulter-Line operation network in the network and autonomous modes. Methods of training students, dentists, and tutors of dentistry schools are described.

ABSTRACT

A method of differential diagnosis of parodontium diseases has been devised with the aid of a functional diagnostic system using multichannel rheo- and photoplethysmographs and the deciding rule of discriminant function computation in accordance with an algorithm elaborated. As many as 200 patients have undergone diagnostic examination with the aid of the above-indicated software and hardware system to demonstrate a high probability (92%) of diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

Basing on rheo- and photoplethysmography combined with mathematical methods and computers the authors have developed a method for the differential diagnosis of periodontal diseases (gingivitis, periodontitis). Diagnostic studies carried out in 200 patients have shown a high probability (at least 92 percent) of the method for the differential diagnosis of periodontal diseases.

ABSTRACT

Rheography and step-type discriminant analysis were used to examine rheographic characteristics of periodontal hemodynamics in 80 patients with primary traumatic occlusion and periodontitis-complicated traumatic occlusion. Mathematical models of the conditions were created, that may be used in practical orthodontics for the differential diagnosis, prediction of the results, and purposeful treatment of patients with traumatic overexercise of the teeth. The share of correctly classified cases for the differential diagnosis with the use of mathematical methods turned to be high--88.3%. The reliability of periodontal hemodynamics parameters for the diagnosis of traumatic overexercise of the teeth is 99.9%.

ABSTRACT

In 120 patients the periodontal photoplethysmography was performed. Statistical analysis of the frequency-amplitude characteristics of the photoplethysmographic signal was useful for differential diagnosis of various forms and stages in periodontal diseases and for evaluation of the treatment efficiency.

ABSTRACT

The periodontal hemodynamics was investigated in 27 individuals aged 18 to 23. Qualitative evaluation of the curves recorded from marginal gingival sites revealed the identity of the data to those obtained using rheographic and photoplethysmographic techniques. Quantitative parameters of photoplethysmography were somewhat different from rheographic ones, though their course was similar. Pronounced reduction of variability characteristics in the plethysmography substantially increased the informative value of the technique.
