ABSTRACT

The results obtained by the method outlined in the paper for calculating dosimetric characteristics of a braking radiation spectrum are in rather good agreement with those of experimental studies and may be used for practical calculations instead of expensive and labour-consuming experimental methods for estimating the spectral characteristics of braking spectra.

ABSTRACT

An analytical expression (mathematical model) of the spectral distribution of braking radiation in the in tungsten anode X-ray tubes has been derived. The discrepancy of the calculated spectra with experimental findings is no more than +/- 6%.

ABSTRACT

The purpose and criteria for efficiency (errors of anode voltage holding, tube current, and exposure) of the system controlling X-ray diagnostic devices are considered from theoretical and practical points of view. A microprocessor-controlled variant of the controlling system developed for numerous existing six-pulsed generators of the -3 type is outlined. The design and operation of the key circuit diagram of X-ray tube filament in the PEHA 50-6 microprocessor-controlled feeding device are shown in detail.

ABSTRACT

The authors have classified factors that determine the quality of roentgenographic images and provided evidence for measures aimed at their improvement. It has been shown that it is conversion to an x-ray feeding device fitted out with microprocessor control that will make it possible to upgrade the quality of roentgenographic images and to reduce radiation loads of the patients.

ABSTRACT

Functional potentialities of serial stands of the RUM-20 radiodiagnostic units were critically analyzed. The clinical use of remote-controlled stands of Rentgen-100T type was shown to hold promise.
