ABSTRACT

Background. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) committed genocide of the Yazidis in Sinjar 2014, resulting in dispersion and enslavement. Research shows severe mental health problems, such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among survivors, but less is known about their resources and strengths, conceptualized as posttraumatic growth (PTG). Aims. are to examine the balance between symptoms and strengths among Yazidi women caring for their infants by identifying groups differing in PTSD and PTG, and analyze how demographic, obstetric, and infant-related factors associate with the groups. Method. Participants were 283 Yazidi mothers with their 1-18-month-old infants displaced in Kurdish Region of North Iraq. PTSD symptoms were measured by Harvard Trauma Questionnaire and PTG by the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. Results. identified four groups: "Severe symptoms and low growth" (39%), "Low symptoms and moderate growth" (38%), "Moderate symptoms and very high growth" (13%), and "Moderate symptoms and low growth" (10%). Low education, economic difficulties and obstetric problems related to the "Severe symptoms and low growth" group, whereas newborn and infant health problems did not have an impact. Conclusion. Effective help for genocide survivors should both alleviate suffering and encourage resources through tools of recreating a sense of cultural security and pride.

ABSTRACT

Catalysts are essential materials in biotechnology, medicine, industry, and chemistry. On the other hand, recycling and using waste materials is important in economic efficiency and green chemistry. Thus, biochar was prepared from the stem and roots of the Spear Thistle to recover waste. After magnetizing the biochar, its surface was modified with polyvinyl imidazole. Finally, this modified biochar was decorated with Pd nanoparticles and used as a selective and recyclable nanocatalyst in the hydrogenation of nitroarenes and the Sonogashira reaction. The structure of this organic-inorganic nanocatalyst has been characterized by FESEM-EDS, XRD, FT-IR, TEM, and VSM techniques. In the hydrogenation reaction with the amount of 30 mg of nanocatalyst, the temperature of 50 °C in the water solvent, the reaction efficiency reached 99% for 30 min. In addition, under optimal conditions for the Sonogashira reaction: 1.0 mmol iodobenzene, 1.2 mmol phenylacetylene, 20 mg MBC-PVIm/Pd, 2 mmol K2CO3 in H2O at 50 C for 15 min, the reaction efficiency reached 95%. The recyclability of magnetic nanocatalysts was investigated and recognized this nanocatalyst can be used several times without notable loss of its activity.

BACKGROUND: During health crisis, individuals need information to comprehend their circumstances. Channel complementarity theory posits that in meeting their informational needs, people will use different sources in a complementary fashion. This paper puts to test the main tenet of channel complementarity theory by focusing on information scanning (i.e. routine health information exposure) in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Chile. METHOD: A survey was conducted among a sample of Chilean adults (N = 2,805). The questionnaire addressed information scanning across six sources (television, radio, internet, social media, family, and friends or coworkers) and explores how socioeconomic and demographic variables, as well as COVID-19 perceived risk related to scanning. Latent class analysis was employed to identify patterns of complementarity across channels. RESULTS: The analysis yielded a solution of five classes, namely 'high complementarity and high frequency' (21%), 'high complementarity and low frequency' (34%), 'high frequency on television and digital media' (19%), 'mass media predominant' (11%), and 'no scanning' (15%). Educational attainment, age, and COVID-19 perceived risk were associated with scanning. CONCLUSIONS: Television was a central channel for information scanning during the pandemic in Chile and more than half of participants scanned COVID-19 information complementarily. Our findings expand channel complementarity theory to information scanning in a non-US context and provide guidelines for designing communication interventions aiming at informing individuals during a global health crisis.

ABSTRACT

Here, we prepared UiO-66-NH2 and employed a post-synthesis modification method for its functionalization with a ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) organic compound. The resulting composite was employed as a support for the heterogenization of the Pd NPs. Various techniques, including FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, and elemental mapping, were used to characterize UiO-66-NH2@ß-CD/PdNPs, indicating its successful preparation. Three C-C coupling reactions, including the Suzuki, Heck, and Sonogashira coupling reactions, were promoted using the produced catalyst. As a result of the PSM, the proposed catalyst displays improved catalytic performance. In addition, the suggested catalyst was highly recyclable up to 6 times.

ABSTRACT

In this report, the novel UiO­66­NH2 based-MOF(Zr) catalytic system which further modified with nitrogen-rich organic ligand (5-aminotetrazole) using post synthetic modification (PSM) approach has been prepared here as an efficient catalyst to promote the A3-coupling preparation of propargyl amines in green aquatic media. This newly highly efficient catalyst was synthesized upon Zr-based MOF (UiO­66­NH2) which successfully functionalized with 2,4,6­trichloro­1,3,5­triazine (TCT) and 5­aminotetrazole, following through stabilization of gold metal (Au) nanopartilces. The addition of N-rich organic ligand through post-synthesis modification which can be assisted to stabilize the bister and stable gold nanoparticles caused to unique structure of the final composite in favor of the progress of the A3 coupling reaction. Also several strategies comprising XRD, FT-IR, SEM, BET, TEM, TGA, ICP, EDS and elemental mapping analyzes, were used to indicate the successful preparation of the UiO-66-NH2@ Cyanuric Chloride@ 5-amino tetrazole/Au-NPs. The results of productivity catalyst are accomplished in good to excellent yields for all sort of reactions under mild conditions which is a proof of superior activity heterogeneous catalyst containing Au-nanoparticles. In addition, the suggested catalyst represented excellent reusability with no remarkable loss in activity up 9 sequential runs.

ABSTRACT

A novel heterogeneous Zr-based metal-organic framework containing an amino group functionalized with nitrogen-rich organic ligand (guanidine), through a step-by-step post synthesis modification approach, was successfully modified by the stabilization of palladium metal nanoparticles on the prepared UiO-66-NH2 support in order to synthesize the Suzuki-Murray, Mizoroki-Heck, and copper-free Sonogashira reactions and also the carbonylative Sonogashira reaction incorporating H2O as a green solvent under mild conditions. This newly synthesized highly efficient and reusable UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@guanidine/Pd-NPs reported catalyst has been utilized to increase anchoring palladium onto the substrate with the aim of altering the construction of the intended synthesis catalyst to form the C-C coupling derivatives. Several strategies, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, transmission microscopy electron, thermogravimetric analysis, inductively coupled plasma, energy-dispersive X-ray, and elemental mapping analyzes, were used to indicate the successful preparation of the UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@guanidine/Pd-NPs. In these reactions, the UiO-66-NH2-supported Pd-NPs illustrated superior performances compared to their catalyst, revealing the benefits of providing nanocatalysts. As a result, the proposed catalyst is favorable in a green solvent, and also, the outputs are accomplished with good to excellent outputs. Furthermore, the suggested catalyst represented very good reusability with no remarkable loss in activity up nine sequential runs.

Here we prepared a highly efficient and reusable catalyst by a step-by-step postsynthesis modification of UiO-66-NH2 metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with nitrogen-rich organic ligands and used it as support for the preparation of UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs. The catalytic performance's results of UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs, UiO-66-NH2/PdNPs, and UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride/PdNPs indicate high efficiency of the modulation of the microenvironment of the palladium NPs. The addition of N-rich organic ligands through postsynthesis modification caused a unique structure of the final composite in favor of the progress of the C-C coupling reaction. Various techniques, including FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, and elemental mapping, were used to characterize UiO-66-NH2@cyanuric chloride@2-aminopyrimidine/PdNPs, indicating its successful preparation. ABSTRACT

In this research a highly efficient and heterogeneous catalyst of ZSM-5@APTMS@(E)-4-((pyridin-2-ylimino)methyl) benzaldehyde@Cu-NPs was synthesized for upgrading the A3 coupling reaction for the synthesis of propargylamines under mild conditions. Rational tuning of the microenvironment of metallic NPs to improve efficiency and reusability in catalytic performances is of significance for scalable applications. Firstly, ZSM-5 was immobilized with APTMS (3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane) and further modified with (E)-4-((pyridin-2-ylimino)methyl)benzaldehyde. Subsequently, the amine-activated zeolite@(E)-4-((pyridin-2-ylimino)methyl)benzaldehyde was applied to increase the stabilization of Cu metal nanoparticles. The catalyst was treated with hydrazine to reduce Cu(ii) to Cu(0), which led to active metal sites. The results of catalytic performance in comparison with different parts of catalysis indicate high efficiency due to the stabilization of copper nanoparticles onto the newly synthesized support of MOF modified with nitrogen aromatic groups. The addition of N-rich organic ligand through modification alters the electronic structure of the final composite in favor of the progress of the A3-coupling reaction. Moreover, the proposed catalyst showed no reduction in the catalytic performance up to four cycles, and a minor loss of efficiency occurs after the seventh cycle. In addition, the catalyst was effectively recycled up to 7 times without leaching of Cu-NPs.

ABSTRACT

Cathepsin K (CTSK) is a lysosomal protease existent in the skeletal muscles which is involved in biochemical processes related to obesity. Several studies have reported the effects of CTSK gene on body weight and fat deposition in human, mice and pigs. However, information about its structure and functions in sheep is very limited. Thus, this study was performed to evaluate the association between CTSK gene variants and yearling growth performance in Afshari × Booroola-Merino crossbred sheep. A fragment of 500 bp in exon 6 and partial of intron 5 of CTSK gene was amplified with polymerase chain reaction (PCR). All animals were genotyped by single-stranded conformation polymorphism (SSCP) and further confirmed by sequencing. Association analysis using a fixed linear model indicated that g.106510225G > A SNP was significantly related to average daily weight gain (ADWG) per year, fat-tail weight to carcass weight ratio (FW/CW), muscle thickness (MT) and muscle cross-sectional area (MCSA) of animals (p < 0.05). Due to the low polymorphic information content (PIC <0.25) for targeted locus in studied population, more association studies are needed to confirm the CTSK gene effects on growth traits in sheep.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: Asthma is related to neurochemical alterations which affect brain functions and lead to anxiety and cognitive dysfunctions. Myrtenol has sparked considerable interest due to its pharmacological effects, especially for the remediation of chronic disorders. Thus, the present research was designed to evaluate the impacts of myrtenol on anxiety-like behaviors, cognitive declines, inflammation, and oxidative stress in the hippocampus of asthmatic rats. METHODS: Rats were allocated to five groups: control, asthma, asthma/vehicle, asthma/myrtenol, and asthma/budesonide. Asthma was elicited in the rats by ovalbumin, and the animals were then exposed to myrtenol inhalation. Anxiety-like behavior and memory were assessed by elevated plus maze (EPM) and novel object and location recognition tests. Interleukins (interleukin-6, -17, and -10), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), and oxidative stress biomarkers such as malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), Glutathione peroxidase (GPX), and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in the hippocampus were assessed by the ELISA method. RESULTS: The levels of IL-6, IL-17, TNF-α, and MDA decreased, but GPX, SOD, and TAC levels increased in the hippocampus of asthmatic animals due to myrtenol inhalation. CONCLUSION: Myrtenol diminished asthma-induced anxiety-like behaviors and cognitive deficits in asthmatic rats; these effects might have been typically mediated by a reduction in inflammation and oxidative stress.

BACKGROUND: The emergence of a plethora of new tobacco products marketed as being less harmful than smoking, such as electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products, and the increased popularity of recreational marijuana have raised concerns about the potential cardiovascular risk associated with their use. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the use of novel tobacco products or marijuana can cause the development of proarrhythmic substrate and eventually lead to arrhythmias. METHODS: Rats were exposed to smoke from tobacco, marijuana, or cannabinoid-depleted marijuana, to aerosol from electronic cigarettes or heated tobacco products, or to clean air once per day for 8 weeks, following by assays for blood pressure, cardiac function, ex vivo electrophysiology, and histochemistry. RESULTS: The rats exposed to tobacco or marijuana products exhibited progressively increased systolic blood pressure, decreased cardiac systolic function with chamber dilation, and reduced overall heart rate variability, relative to the clean air negative control group. Atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia testing by ex vivo optical mapping revealed a significantly higher susceptibility to each, with a shortened effective refractory period and prolonged calcium transient duration. Histological analysis indicated that in all exposure conditions except for air, exposure to smoke or aerosol from tobacco or marijuana products caused severe fibrosis with decreased microvessel density and higher level of sympathetic nerve innervation. CONCLUSION: These pathophysiological results indicate that tobacco and marijuana products can induce arrhythmogenic substrates involved in cardiac electrical, structural, and neural remodeling, facilitating the development of arrhythmias.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Family members play a pivotal role in supporting cardiovascular self-management-based care of community-living adults with severe mental illness (SMI). However, little is known about what strategies caregivers employ as part of their caring roles. AIM: This paper aims to explore what caregiving strategies work (or not), why and how by collating and synthesising existing evidence on this issue. METHODS: A systematic search of peer-reviewed qualitative and mixed-method studies published between 2000 and 2019 was employed. This comprehensive process generated only nine papers for subsequent meta-synthesis of qualitative data. RESULTS: Findings suggested that caregivers have a complex yet comprehensive role to play in initiating and perpetuating self-management-based cardiovascular care. The elements of recovery such as promoting hope, normality, autonomy and identity were flagged as critical underpinning factors that motivated the person with SMI to adopt a healthy lifestyle. However, it was evident that caregivers needed to walk alongside the person, at times, to help them reach their maximum potential in sustaining improved self-management behaviours. CONCLUSION: Caregivers sit in a favourable bridging position between healthcare systems and community-living individuals with SMI, to support their cardiovascular health. However, this powerful but invisible 'workforce' clearly needs further support involving finance, skill-development and acknowledgement.

ABSTRACT

Pharyngeal pressure generated by approximation of the base of tongue to the posterior pharyngeal wall (BOT-PPW approximation) is critical for efficient pharyngeal bolus passage and is a frequent goal of dysphagia management. This scoping review evaluated behavioral interventions available to improve BOT-PPW approximation. We searched MEDLINE, CINAHL, Ovid Emcare, Web of Science, SCOPUS, and ProQuest for studies that met the following criteria: (i) behavioral interventions targeting BOT-PPW approximation, which (ii) were assessed using BOT-PPW-specific outcome measures, and (iiia) performed over a period of time (Review Part 1) or (iiib) studied immediate effects (Review Part 2). Study quality was rated using the GRADE framework. Data were extracted and synthesized into dominant themes. Of the 150 studies originally identified, three examined long-term effects (two single cases studies of individuals with dysphagia, and a third study evaluating effortful swallowing in healthy individuals). BOT-PPW approximation only increased in the two single case studies. Twenty-one studies evaluating immediate effects were categorized as follows: (1) effortful swallowing, (2) Mendelsohn maneuver, (3) tongue-hold maneuver, (4) super supraglottic swallowing maneuver, and (5) non-swallowing exercises. Across all studies, varying levels of success in increasing BOT-PPW approximation were reported. Four of 21 immediate effects studies evaluated patients with demonstrated swallowing impairment, whereas 17 studies evaluated healthy adults. Quality assessment revealed low strength of the existing evidence base. The evidence base for rehabilitative interventions targeting BOT-PPW approximation is severely limited and translation is hindered by small sample sizes and methodological limitations. Further clinical research is warranted.

ABSTRACT

Background: The datafication scenario of the current communicative ecosystem poses a challenge to media and digital literacy, especially in terms of participation and civic and democratic engagement of youth. Methods: For this purpose, through a survey with a representative sample of 600 young people in Spain, between 16 and 18 years old, we observed their level of digital literacy through three variables: technical competencies, informational competencies, and critical knowledge. This dataset also collects information on the reasons why young people use digital technology such as video games, consoles, computers or mobile phones. On the other hand, we also offer information on the types of social networks or applications and the time and types of uses by youngsters of different digital technologies and social media platforms. The survey includes socio-demographic factors such as gender including (male, female, and others). Conclusions: This survey offers researchers relevant data on the digital skills of Spanish youth and on the perceptions of the use of different digital technologies. This paper also reports the main descriptive data that can be expanded by researchers accessing the database.

ABSTRACT

The silver nanoparticle was synthesized by developing poly (1-vinylimidazole) on the surface of magnetized biochar (the stem and roots of Spear Thistle) (biochar/Fe3O4/PVIm/Ag). This nanocomposite was characterized by Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The SEM and TEM images of the nanocatalyst, biochar/Fe3O4/PVIm/Ag-NPs, confirmed the observation of microscopic sheets of biochar. The catalytic activity of these Ag NPs was tested via multicomponent reaction plus reusing to successful formation of 2-amino-4H-pyran and functionalized spirochromen derivatives. The prepared nanocatalyst was easily separated by an external magnet and reused in repeating coupling reaction cycles four times without remarkable activity loss. The catalyst showed great efficiency and reusability, thus making it an ideal candidate for catalytic purposes in several organic transformations.

BACKGROUND: Despite a large amount of behavioral interventions to reduce human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-related high-risk sexual behaviors, consistent condom use remains suboptimal among men who have sex with men (MSM). However, current databases are lack of synthesized evidence to explain why MSM practiced condomless sex. OBJECTIVE: Our study aims to conduct a systematic review and meta-synthesis of 39 eligible qualitative studies to explore the barriers to condom use among MSM. METHODS: A systematic review and meta-synthesis of qualitative studies (1994-2021). On March 4, 2021, a comprehensive search was conducted in 14 electronic databases. The study was conducted based on the Joanna Briggs Institute's recommendations. RESULTS: Thematic analysis produced six synthesized themes, which were classified into three levels according to the Social-ecology Model. Individual level barriers to condom use included physical discomfort, lack of HIV/STI-related knowledge and substance use; interpersonal-level barrier was mainly the condom stigma, namely regarding using condom as symbols of distrust or HIV/sexually transmitted infections (STIs) prevention, or as violating traditional cognition of sex, or as an embarrassing topic; environmental/structural-level barriers included situational unavailability, unaffordability of condoms and power imbalance in the sexual relationship. CONCLUSION: This meta-synthesis offered in-depth understanding of condom use barriers for MSM and could guide the development of multifactorial interventions according to the identified barriers, especially targeting to reduce condom stigma, which has not been focused and intervened previously.

BACKGROUND: The harmful vascular effects of smoking are well established, but the effects of chronic use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) on endothelial function are less understood. We hypothesized that e-cigarette use causes changes in blood milieu that impair endothelial function. METHODS: Endothelial function was measured in chronic e-cigarette users, chronic cigarette smokers, and nonusers. We measured effects of participants' sera, or e-cigarette aerosol condensate, on NO and H2O2 release and cell permeability in cultured endothelial cells (ECs). RESULTS: E-cigarette users and smokers had lower flow-mediated dilation (FMD) than nonusers. Sera from e-cigarette users and smokers reduced VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor)-induced NO secretion by ECs relative to nonuser sera, without significant reduction in endothelial NO synthase mRNA or protein levels. E-cigarette user sera caused increased endothelial release of H2O2, and more permeability than nonuser sera. E-cigarette users and smokers exhibited changes in circulating biomarkers of inflammation, thrombosis, and cell adhesion relative to nonusers, but with distinct profiles. E-cigarette user sera had higher concentrations of the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) ligands S100A8 and HMGB1 (high mobility group box 1) than smoker and nonuser sera, and receptor for advanced glycation end product inhibition reduced permeability induced by e-cigarette user sera but did not affect NO production. CONCLUSIONS: Chronic vaping and smoking both impair FMD and cause changes in the blood that inhibit endothelial NO release. Vaping, but not smoking, causes changes in the blood that increase microvascular endothelial permeability and may have a vaping-specific effect on intracellular oxidative state. Our results suggest a role for RAGE in e-cigarette-induced changes in endothelial function.

ABSTRACT

This review aimed to examine the evidence base for the use of personal recovery facilitators [non-psychopharmacological approaches] for adults with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and other psychoses. A systematic review (umbrella review) was conducted of reviews published in English between January 2010 and February 2022, which examined the effectiveness of personal recovery facilitators to support aspects of personal recovery as defined by the CHIME framework (connectedness, hope and optimism, identity, meaning and purpose, and empowerment). Twenty-one systematic reviews on thirteen different types of personal recovery facilitators [PRFs] were included in this umbrella review. Only one review sought to directly measure personal recovery processes according to the CHIME framework. Outcome measures mostly aligned with the processes of hope (21 reviews) and connectedness (19 reviews). Those related to empowerment (2 reviews), identity (5 reviews) and meaning and purpose (1 review) were less frequently the focus of PRFs. Yoga and music therapy showed the most promise as PRFs. Vocational treatments and integrated supported employment show good potential as personal recovery facilitators. However, together with narrative photovoice, art making and exhibition, they require further robust research to fully examine their impact. Personal recovery is only beginning to be considered as an intended outcome of interventions for persons with schizophrenia and other psychoses. This may be due in part to the continued predominance of the biomedical model approach to recovery within statutory services. Future evaluations of PRFs should include outcome measures that directly assess personal recovery according to the CHIME framework or other measures developed in consultation with recipients of these approaches. ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: The epidemic of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) among men who have sex with men (MSM) is severe in China. And MSM has now become a key population for the infection and transmission of AIDS. At present, the bottleneck of AIDS prevention and control among MSM population is low rate of continuous condom use and high incidence of unsafe sexual behavior. Inductive summarization of the literature revealed that the most critical reason for low rate of continuous condom use among the MSM population was condom-related stigma. Although many studies mentioned condom-related stigma among MSM populations, there has been no any definition of MSM-related condom stigma and no measurement for it. Therefore, the paper aims to explore barriers to condom use among MSM, then construct the conceptual and operational definition of "MSM-related condom stigma" through Meta synthesis and concept synthesis, and provide a new perspective for AIDS prevention and control among MSM. METHODS: Based on evidence-based method, "PICoS" framework and Meta-synthesis was used to include the literatures. Then, we used synthesized qualitative evidence from included studies to construct the concept and operational definition of MSM-related condom stigma by the means of thematic analysis and concept synthesis. RESULTS: According to the results of the concept synthesis, MSM-related condom stigma refers to any taboos or misbeliefs about condom use or feeling ashamed or embarrassed to talk about using condoms which perceived by individuals at the individual, interpersonal, and social levels.It was demonstrated through 4 sub-themes at operational level: a symbol of distrust, a symbol of HIV/sexual transmitted infections (STIs) prevention, a symbol of an embarrassing topic, and a symbol of violating the traditional cognition of sexual intercourse. According to the Social-ecological Model (SEM), a symbol of distrust refers to that the MSM population believes that not using condoms represents mutual trust between sexual partners, while using condoms is difficult to express intimacy, trust and loyalty between sexual partners. A symbol of HIV/STIs prevention at the interpersonal level refers to that the MSM population believes that condom use is a "symbol" for the prevention or infection of AIDS; on the one hand, if someone proposes to use condoms, he may be considered infected with HIV or have unsafe sex experiences, thus, making it difficult to propose condom use; on the other hand, if they believe that sexual partners are "AIDS free" (often a wrong perception, such as sexual partners may have the risk of AIDS infection although they do not have AIDS), it is considered that condom use is completely unnecessary. The environmental level includes a symbol of an embarrassing topic and a symbol of violating the traditional cognition of sexual intercourse. A symbol of an embarrassing topic refers to the MSM population feels shame about topics related to sexual behavior and is embarrassed to carry/buy/propose condom use or be ashamed to engage in conversations about whether to use condoms during sexual behavior. And a symbol of violating the traditional cognition of sexual intercourse: The MSM population have limitations in their perception of "sex" or "sexual behavior" and believe that real sex (behavior) is unobstructed contact between the bodies and exchange between all body fluids. CONCLUSIONS: The concept of MSM-related condom stigma is proposed for the first time, and its operational definition is given. The concept includes 3 levels and 4 dimensions. It is helpful to understand MSM people's attitude and cognition towards condoms, and adds indicators with cultural sensitivity and behavioral sensitivity to the behavioral intervention for AIDS in the future.
