ABSTRACT

Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory process characterized by a series of cutaneous alterations of typical morphology and distribution, with intense pruritus of nocturnal predominance, of chronic evolution, stational appearance, and with personal and family history of atopy. On genetically predisposed skin, dry and hypersensitive, the immune factors and other types are implicated in determining the abnormal reactions to multiple endogenous and environmental factors. The diagnosis is clinical, generally obtained by a group of signs and symptoms known as the Hanifin and Rajka criteria. The patients with atopic dermatitis can present with clinical typical manifestations, or minimized and localized variations as well, considered a stigma of atopic constituent. In some patients there can be observed clinical and morphological variations with special localizations denominated atypical variations of atopic dermatitis. The identification of these atypical presentations of atopic dermatitis leads to the differential diagnosis, with an early establishment of the disease's diagnosis and the appropriate and early treatment.

ABSTRACT

Pregunta de investigción. Cuáles serán los valores de PTOG en sujetos de 18 a 50 años de edad sin antecedentes de patología que habitak ka ciudad de La Paz?. Objeto. Determinar valores de PTOG en personas normales que habitan a 3600 m.s.n.m. Diseño de trabajo. Corte transversal. Lugar. Laboratorio de Bioquimica y Biologia Molecular, Facultad de Medicina , UMSA, La Paz. Población. 167 casos por cálculo de tamaño muestral, (Epi-Info versión 6.0), en estudiantes de Medicina de la UMSA sin existencia de factores exógenos que modifiquen la PTOG, obtención y procesado de muestras. Mediciones. Mediante fotocolorimetría, estandarizado y validado internacionalmente. Resultados. Estudio de 199 sujetos con promedio de PTOG: minuto 0, 125.8 mg/dl; min 30, 146 mg/dl; min 60, 137.8 mg/dl y min 120, 116.97 mg/dl, teniendo asociación directa glicemia al min 0 y 120, ICC y PAD e varones con un valor p< 0.03, encontrando sujetos intolerantes a la glucosa (25,13 por ciento) y diabeticos 2.0 por ciento). Conclusiones. En sujetos jovenes, sin antecedentes de patología en la altura, existen valores elevados de la PTOG que orientan, según la ALAD, a un incremento de la inicidencia de sujetos intolerantes a la glucosa, en presencia de factores de riesgo como ICC y PAD o la existencia de valores propios de OTOG en la altura.
