ABSTRACT

Se realiz� un estudio descriptivo en 100 j�venes pertenecientes al barrio La Marina, del municipio Media Luna, con el objetivo de determinar el estado de apreciaci�n por los j�venes sobre algunos aspectos de la transmisi�n de las ITS y el SIDA. Para el an�lisis se tomaron en cuenta las variables siguientes: edad, sexo, posibilidad de contagio, forma de contagio, disposici�n a realizarse el examen para el diagn�stico de VIH, confidencialidad, raz�n por la que no se realizar�a el examen, lugar donde se realizar�a el examen con pareja estable y sin pareja sexual estable. Como parte de los resultados se observ� que un alto por ciento de j�venes reconoce la posibilidad de haber tenido una relaci�n sexual en la que hubiese podido contraer el virus del SIDA y en quienes la relaci�n sexual sin protecci�n hubiese sido la forma m�s probable del contagio(AU)


It was performed a descriptive research in 100 young persons belonging to La Marina�s ward with the objective to determine the appraisal of young people towards some aspects of STI and AIDS transmission. For the analysis there were taking into account the following variables: age, sex, possibility to be infected, ways of infection, disposal to do the exam for HIV diagnosis, confidentiality, and reason for avoiding the exam, place to do the exam, with stable couple and without it. As part of the results, it was observed that a high percent of young persons recognize the possibility to have had a relation in which they could have been infected by AIDS being the sexual relation without protection, the most probable way of infection(EU)
