ABSTRACT
Se establecen la prevalencia y las características del abuso sexual infantil mediante encuesta directa a 447 pacientes psiquiátricos adultos. Veintiséis pacientes (5,8%) informaron de algún tipo de abuso sexual en su infancia: veinticuatro mujeres (5,3%) y dos hombres (0,44%). Se comentan las características asociadas a los abusos, las víctimas y los agresores. A la vista de los resultados se recomienda preguntar rutinariamente a lospacientes sobre antecedentes de abuso sexual (AU)
The prevalence and characteristics of childhood sexual abuse among 447 adult psychiatric outpatients were assessed in direct enquiries. Twenty-six patients (5.8%) reported some type of childhood sexual abuse: twenty-four women (5.3%) and two men (0.44%). The characteristics associated with the assaults, the victims and aggressors are commented. On the basis of this findings the authors recommended routine inquiry about patients assault history (AU)
