ABSTRACT

The paper gives data on the ways of identifying the pattern of head insertion, wire point, the degree of head flexion and extension, asynclitism, and configuration from the fetal and neonatal skull. The findings are important for the assessment of the course of labor and the quality of its management and for the diagnosis of birth injury. Emphasis is laid on the significance of brain compression in the genesis of fetal asphyxia.

ABSTRACT

The advised new unit comprises in its design the possibility of using 2 different physically influential factors--low vacuum 50-25 K Pa (0.5-0.25 kgf/cm2) and super cooling (liquid nitrogen), which speeds up the distruction and further rejection of the pathological tissues being located within the limited area and protecting the surrounding healthy tissues from the harmful influence of the super-low temperatures. This unit shortens the period of treatment when the criogenic technology is used.

ABSTRACT

To improve the construction of the existing (formula: see text) apparatus intended for relief of pain during treatment of hard dental tissues a new version of this unit with a higher stabilization of the operating current--model (formula: see text) -- has been designed. In it the intensity of the current is adjustable within the range of 1 to 30 micronA. Power supply from the mains and from the storage battery "Krona" is provided for in the apparatus.
