ABSTRACT
The retroperitoneoscopic approach for renal operations is an accepted efficacious one. It is, however, significantly less popular than its transperitoneal rival, even for small kidneys. We present this case because it magnifies some of the advantages of the retroperitoneoscopic approach and because we believe that it is probably the approach of choice in this unusual situation.
