ABSTRACT

A new one way set of instruments for liver biopsy (Histocan) dissects a neat cylinder of liver parenchyma harbouring it in a special reservoir. Manipulation of Histocan is very well controllable, independent of timing, and easy to perform, making it an ideal biopsy instrument for laparoscopy. since it is a one way set, sharpening and gliding qualities are invariably good, and better prophylaxis of infection is possible.

ABSTRACT

Jopron acid a new peroral cholangiographic agent and did not increase serum enzymes, bilirubin and some other parameters in 21 patients with active chronic liver diseases identified by laparoscopy and biopsy. For the patient the peroral radiographic examination of the biliary system in the ambulance seems to be quite safe.

ABSTRACT

Jodoxamid, a new intravenous radiocontrast agent, did not increase serum enzymes and serum bilirubin in 40 patients with active chronic liver diseases diagnosed by laparoscopy and biopsy. The most necessary examination of the biliary tract in patients with liver diseases is obviously unobjectionable using this radiocontrast agent as well by injection as by infusion.
