ABSTRACT
The typical peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) usually occurs on the free margin of the gingiva. POF is also thought to arise from the periodontal ligament. The case presented here is unique by virtue of its etiology, size and location.

Most cases of sialolithiasis of the submandibular duct are resolved by an intraoral surgical approach. This case is unique in that by virtue of the sialolith's proximity to the hilum of the gland, it was more prudent to perform an excision of the entire gland through an extraoral approach.

A patient with a history of 20 years of intermittent pain and swelling of the floor of the mouth was diagnosed with bilateral multiple sialoliths of the submandibular ducts. Subsequent to the excision of all the sialoliths, the patient was asymptomatic. She will be observed periodically.

This article presents the case of a two-day-old girl with benign multiple epulides on both the maxillary and the mandibular alveolar ridges. The condition is rare; furthermore, it usually appears as solitary lesions. The authors describe the histopathology of epulides, detail the surgical procedures used for the condition and review the pertinent literature.

An impacted mandibular third molar was extracted. Although the 20-year-old patient had no history of a bleeding disorder, he experienced severe bleeding which continued intermittently for 1 week. After hospital admission and testing, a diagnosis of hemophilia A was made. Additional review of the literature on this disorder is included.

A case of an intraoral sarcoid lesion is presented. It is histologically similar to a lesion of generalized sarcoidosis, and the various clinical, radiographic, and laboratory modalities employed for a differential diagnosis are discussed.

A case history has been given with the radiographic evidence of the migration, during development of an unerupted mandibular canine from its normal position. In a 30-month period the canine assumed a horizontal position and moved to a site that was apical to the mandibular incisors, still in the confines of the cortical plates. Because erratic movements of unerupted teeth cannot be anticipated, it would seem wise to defer the elective removal of permanent teeth during the mixed dentition stage until the clinician is assured of a normal eruption pattern of the succedaneous teeth.
