ABSTRACT

Effects were studied of a course intake of the mineral water Naftusya on insulin secretion in patients with latent and mild forms of diabetes mellitus. The gastroenteropancreatic endocrine system takes a direct part in formation of the integral bodily reaction to the mineral water intake. The possibility of our using drinking mineral waters to correct functions of the above system is of a great practical interest in aspects of health-resort therapy of diabetes mellitus and other medical problems.

ABSTRACT

With the purpose of enhancing efficacy of health-resort treatment of chronic pancreatitis, patients with relevant clinical form and stage of the disease course, early revealed distinguishing features of disturbances in the exocrine function of pancrease should be referred to those health resorts having adequate mineral waters. 75 patients with chronic pancreatitis presenting with various type pancreatic secretion derived benefit from differentiated use of mineral water and physiotherapeutic procedures.

ABSTRACT

Results are reported of the treatment of 265 patients with different complications of diabetes mellitus at the endocrinological department of the Truskavets health resort. In patients with fatty hepatosis treatment resulted in normalization of the lipid complex of the blood and intrahepatic blood flow while patients with diabetic angionephropathy showed an increase of glomerular filtration and tubular reabsorption. The efficacy of different methods of health resort treatment in these patients is described.
