ABSTRACT

The curative effect of Banlangen granule is directly affected by its quality, so it is very important to choose a kind of effective method for testing it. The chemical treatment is needed as a pre-treatment for the quality testing by using common method at present, which will change or destroy the sample. For dealing with this problem, in the present paper, a fluorescence spectrum imaging experimental system based on LCTF (liquid crystal tunable filter) is set up to detect the characteristics fluorescence spectrum of Banlangen granules. The characteristic fluorescence spectrum curve of Banlangen standard material provided by Chinese Food Drugs Examination Research Institute is used as a reference substance for a comparison with other Banlangen granules. By normalizing the corresponding characteristic fluorescence spectrum of Banlangen granules of different raw materials, different manufacturers and different batches, the relationship between the characteristic fluorescence spectrum curve and the quality of Banlangen granule is discussed by using the method of comparative and cluster analysis. The experimental results show that the qualities of Banlangen granules are quite different from different manufacturers, which are basically reflected by the change in the intensity of fluorescence and peak position. All of these indicate that fluorescence spectrum imaging technology is a simple, rapid and nondestructive detection method for the quality control of Banlangen granule.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of decoction traditional Chinese medicine is to make full exhalation of medicinal materials active ingredients, thus it has the maximum effect of traditional Chinese medicine to treat disease. In order to detect the dissolution change of medicinal materials active ingredients in decoction process, this paper applys spectral imaging technology, with Chinese traditional medicine cortex phellodendri as an example, discussing its fluorescence intensity at different time in decoction process. And the analysis results reflect edgewise the dissolution rule of cortex phellodendri active ingredients.

ABSTRACT

In order to test the distribution of active constituent of traditional Chinese medicine and to evaluate the quality of medicinal part effectively, spectral imaging analysis technology was used, and rhizoma coptidis pieces were tested as an example. First, the fluorescence spectral cube was taken, and the spectral curve of 3 different medicinal parts of the piece was obtained; second, spectral images were reconstructed by principal components analysis method, and the differences of 3 medicinal parts on the first few principal components were focused; third, the first component image was divided by the threshold method, then the distribution and relative content of 3 medicinal parts were obtained. The results show that spectral imaging analysis technology can provide the distribution of the active constituent, which can be used as the criterion of selecting medicinal parts. The testing course is nondestructive and rapid.

ABSTRACT

Radix Panacis quinquefolii pieces coming from different drug stores were tested by crystal liquid spectral imaging instrument, and a new method for quality control was presented. The spectral resolution is 5 nm, the spectral range is from 405 to 680 nm, and the spatial resolution is 50 lp x mm(-1). The characteristic spectrum from spectral cube was used to construct the fingerprint of Radix Panacis quinquefolii, and the fingerprint was analyzed by principal method to identify the counterfeit and to evaluate the quality. The result is fully consistent with biological character and chemical analysis result. So the technology is suitable for fingerprint construction and quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine. The whole testing process is noninvasive, fast and convenient.

ABSTRACT

In the present paper, using designed liquid crystal spectral imaging device, the transmission spectra of leaves of uncaria were detected and analysed under different environmental situations. The characteristic curve was drawn and the imaging characteristic spectrum was constructed and cluster analysis was performed. The results showed the similarity of imaging characteristic spectrum of uncaria leaves and the results of determining genetic relationship in cluster analysis were consistent with the results of the identification of plant taxonomy. Spectral imaging analysis techniques can be applied to discuss the genetic relationship of uncaria. The liquid crystal spectral imaging system can detect traditional Chinese medicine rapidly and nondestructively. The same sample can be used to repeat several experiments. Experimental operation is simple and quick It can provide a new detection method for Chinese medicine.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Build up Folium Uncariae spectral imaging characteristics of the transmission spectrum to provide a new effective method for the study of medicinal plants. METHODS: Determine five kinds of 10 populations in different parts of Folium Uncariae by electric controlled liquid crystal filter spectral imaging device. The highest spectral resolution of 0.5 nm. Spectral covergeg: 400 nm to 720 nm. Construct its fingerprint with cosine distance cluster analysis. RESULTS: Folium Uncariae spectral imaging characteristics of the transmission spectrum similarity analysis matches the systematic botany appraisal result. CONCLUSION: Spectral imaging analysis techniques can be used to construct fingerprints of traditioanal Chinese medicine, quality evaluation and study of plant phylogenetic relationships, etc., the operation method is simple, rapid.
