ABSTRACT

Treatment of acutely ruptured intracranial aneurysms in pregnancy represents a clinical challenge requiring a meticulously selected strategy. We report eight cases of ruptured cerebral aneurysms in eight pregnant patients treated safely and effectively via an endovascular approach.

ABSTRACT

Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de las lesiones malignas y premalignas del complejo bucal atendidas en el Hospital General Provincial Docente de Morón durante el período de enero de 2000 a diciembre de 2004. Se recogieron los datos de los pacientes remitidos a la consulta del Programa Nacional de Diagnóstico Precoz del Cáncer Bucal en la zona norte de Ciego de Ávila. Para la obtención del dato primario se confeccionó un formulario donde se recogió la información necesaria en correspondencia con los objetivos de la investigación. Obteniéndose una mayor frecuencia de aparición de las lesiones premalignas en comparación con las neoplasias malignas, en la mayorías de los pacientes hubo correspondencia entre el diagnostico presuntivo y el diagnostico definitivo y fueron captados en la consulta estomatológica. Del total de pacientes el 78.2 porciento practicaban el hábito de tabaquismo. (AU)


An observational descriptive study was performed with the objective of determining how malignant and premalignant lesions in the mouth behaved. Patients were assisted in Morón hospital from 2000 to 2004. Data were obtained from patients who were referred to the consulting rooms of precocious diagnosis of oral cancer in the northern area of Ciego de Avila. For getting the primary datum, a formulary was made where the necessary informationwas obtained. By having a higher frequency of premalignant lesions in comparison to malignant neoplasms. Most of the patients had correspondence between the presuntive and definitive diagnosis and they were screened in the dentistry follow up appointments. 78.2 per cent of patientswere smokers(AU)
