ABSTRACT

Imitators of physiological signals are in need for production of electronic medical equipment and modeling the biological systems. The known imitators are rather intricate and incapable to control the output signal within a wide range. The imitator now offered allows to reproduce any signal that reflects the activity of a cardiovascular system under normal and pathologic conditions.

ABSTRACT

Introduction into the clinical practice of methods providing for mechanic support to the heart demands equipping the apparatus of assisted circulation with appliances, helping to operatively assess the effect of applying some or other procedures helping the heart performance. The existing criteria do not allow the degree of restoring the contractility of the myocardium under the effect of assisted circulation to be appraised. Criteria may be of help in comparing the energy balance of the myocardium with application of assisted circulation and the energy balance of an unloaded myocardium are proposed.

ABSTRACT

The article deals with the first experience in the use of auxiliary circulation by contrapulsation with an intraaortic balloon during the transportation of patients with myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock from an unspecialized hospital to a cardiosurgical hospital. Transportation on the background of contrapulsation does not affect the efficacy of auxiliary circulation and does not lead to a recurrence. A conclusion is drawn on the experiency of using contrapulsation during transportation of patients with myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock to specialized cardiosurgical hospitals for continuation of auxiliary circulation and emergency revascularization of the myocardium.

ABSTRACT

A device designed for studying the motion kinematics of locking elements in the artificial cardiac valves is described. The principle of its operation is based on the photoelectric registration with subsequent electronic differentiation of the electric displacement signal. The length of measurable linear displacement is 0+20 mm. The amplitudinal-frequency characteristics of the differentiator is linear within the range of 0+120 Hz. The error of the displacement and speed error--not more than 5 per cent.
