ABSTRACT

30 piperidine ethyl esters of alkoxyphenylcarbamic acids with local anaesthetic activity to be distinguished by the type of substitution of the alkoxy groups were investigated under various conditions (temperature, volume of the stationary phase) using GLC. The retention data were determined by means of usual methods and converted into Kovats-indices using a new simplified procedure. These indices were correlated with data representing local anaesthetic activity and toxicity.

ABSTRACT

Results of twins' and families' investigations of 19 quantitative features of fingertip dermatoglyphic patterns are presented. A conclusion has been drawn that the determinants of most of them have X-linked loci. The data were analysed in the light of the Lyon's hypothesis used in modern methods of interpretation of family correlations. The results revealed some incorrectness of the postulate of the highest connection in sister--sister pairs in the case of X-linked loci. It was ascertained that the distribution of family correlations, according to skin relief quantitative features, depends upon ethnic peculiarities of a sample: the higher the frequency of whorls in the population, the greater the probability of receiving the picture expected to occur in case of X-linked loci.

ABSTRACT

The RF-values of 19 fungicidal pyrimidine derivatives were determined by means of thin-layer chromatography (aluminium oxide layers) in some solvent systems and the relating parameters of adsorption chromatography were calculated. Furthermore the retention times of HPLC were determined. Both of the parameters were correlated with experimentally determined biological values.
